Very specific expertise is then required to analyse how should test dive cycle parameters be adjusted and how are the results interpreted: what is typical behaviour of this particular product structure and what can indicate risk of leakage. 🚄A Sonic Boom in the Tunnel: The Excitement of High Speed Picture this: a high-speed train racing at a rapid 220-230 km/h (equivalent to roughly 60 meters per second) enters a tunnel. Imagine the front of the train moving approximately 2.3 to 2.5 kilometers into the tunnel when a strong wave emerges from the tunnel's opening. Are you fascinated? Let's explore the scientific reasoning behind this exciting occurrence! The Sonic Symphony is a musical composition of sound. As the train speeds into the tunnel, it generates a shock wave traveling at an incredible Mach 1.18. Yes, even quicker than the velocity of sound! This wave is not quiet, but rather a loud sound with a peak overpressure of approximately 3 kPa higher than the atmospheric pressure. Imagine the tunnel's area cut in half: a large 53 square meters with a slight 0.2 blockage ratio.           buymeacoffee.com/Jamawi          🤓 Understanding the Sonic Boom While traveling inside the tunnel, the train creates a high-pressure wave moving at Mach 1.18, faster than a speeding bullet, by pushing the air ahead of it. This wave travels through the tunnel and emerges from the exit, creating what we refer to as a "tunnel sonic boom." It’s comparable to the dramatic climax of a fast-paced symphony for the train, marking its entrance or exit with a bang as it travels through the tunnel.

The Swedish association for professional fundraising Giva Sverige has nominated 20 finalists in 5 categories of #stenbeckspriset 2023.
