📢 On the robustness of DA #MarketCoupling processes! The incident in yesterday's Day-Ahead Market Coupling auction showed that coupled markets, allocated cross-border capacities and reliable procedures lead to reliable market prices. 💡 Below you can see the Day-Ahead base prices for Germany and Austria as they were calculated by the Euphemia algorithm in the DA Market Coupling auction for the delivery day 26 June 2024. 🌍 These prices were used at EXAA for trades in the 12:00 MC auction. #dayahead #energytrading #energyprices #energyexchange #sdac

📅 On June 13, 2024, the Single Intraday Coupling (SIDC) intraday auctions will start with the first auction scheduled at 15:00 CET. Here are the details: 🔹 Auction Times: - D-1 15:00 for delivery on Day D - D-1 22:00 for delivery on Day D - D 10:00 for delivery from 12:00 - 24:00 on Day D 🔹 Product Durations: - 15-min products in AT, BE, DE, DK1-DK2, FI, NL, SE1-4 - 30-min products in FR - 60-min products in NO1-5, PL 🛑 During these auctions, cross-border coupling on the Intraday Continuous market will be temporarily halted. 🔍 We're all eager to see the trading volumes and how these changes will interact with the continuous intraday market. An other exciting update: the introduction of fully shared order books is on the horizon. The EU Council should provide soon if not already done its approval then the implementation will quickly follow. This will bring competition to the power exchange. 100 days 🎂 On 13/14. June 2024 the 🇪🇺 Intra-Day Auctions (IDAs) went live 👏 Let’s take a quick look back ✅ Out of 300 sessions in total 286 were conducted successfully connecting all 🇪🇺 markets. ✅ In the first 100 days of IDAs more than 600 TWh of Cross-Zonal Capacity (CZC) in total was offered to the market and 150 TWh of electricity was allocated cross-zonal. TSOs in 27 🇪🇺 countries ensured that all IDAs received CZC every day in time and quality. ❎ Out of 300 sessions in total 14 faced operational issues leading to 6 full decouplings (3x IDA1, 2x IDA2 & 1x IDA3) and 8 partial decouplings (3x IDA1, 3x IDA2 & 2x IDA3). ❎ The interplay between Day-Ahead and Intra-Day Auctions as well as Continuous Trading needs to be assessed thoroughly especially in light of the upcoming 15min Market Time Unit (MTU). Damn what a week, first Flowbased had fallback and now it seems that there is a large partial decoupling in SDAC :O According to EPEX site the affected hubs are: EPEX (FR, BE, NL, AT, DE/LU, PL) EMCO (NO, DK, SE, FI) EPEX (NO, DK, SE, FI) Interesting times! UPDATE: SDAC results are published, a lot of price convergence interestingly enough. EPEX is currently running its local auctions in each affected zone.
