Private Sector Development, Economic Governance & Public-Private Dialogue Professional | Enhancing Business Enabling Environment for Growth
This is just the beginning—Georgia's first steps in major tournaments. We embarked on this journey with courage, skill, passion, and flair. Through strategy, teamwork, and heartfelt dedication, we persevered with unwavering belief in ourselves. Our team's achievements have reignited self-awareness, confidence, faith, national pride, and unity within us. In the heart of Europe, Georgia was not just a guest but a recognized part of it, winning hearts across the continent. Our players, with their remarkable achievements, have inspired future generations in Georgia profoundly. These ordinary boys from regular families have shown that success comes from a leader’s mindset, constant development, tireless work, and resilience—becoming role models for all. The economic impact of promoting our country, boosting tourism, and developing football schools and clubs is yet to be fully realized. It will not only elevate our national team players to better leagues but also help our youth get noticed by European teams and attract attention from top-tier transfer markets. This opportunity was utilized more effectively than expected. Along with investing in mindset and future generations' mentality, we showcased what branding and marketing should be. We created a unique and memorable identity for the team and country, with incredible fan engagement activities on-site and through social media. And one more achievement: the people have embraced football, and the Team has embraced its people, becoming truly National. We emerged victorious from this unforgettable adventure from different perspectives. Huge thanks to our Crusaders! History was made, and the best is yet to come! #მევარსაქართველო #Euro2024Georgia #საქართველოევროპაზე #HistoryMakers #TeamSpirit #InspiringLeadership #YouthDevelopment #SportsImpact #NationalUnity

Goodness gracious me! There's the easy way, the hard way, and then there's the England way. 🏴 Slovakia, ranked 45th in the world, came within a whisker of an almighty shock, only to be denied by a Jude Bellingham bicycle kick five minutes into stoppage time to send the match into extra-time. That was swiftly followed by a Harry Kane header 52 seconds into the restart. We held on for the 2–1 win, but why do we make it so hard for ourselves? We were poor today. We were poor against Slovenia. We were poor against Denmark. We were poor against Serbia. Oh, and we were poor in the 1–0 loss against Iceland in the final warm-up match — a country with under 400,000 people. Nevertheless, it's Switzerland next. We're really going to have to start finding some form if we're going to progress further. It ain't been good enough thus far. #ENG #ENGSVK #Euro2024

Yet we act as if poor And build nothing of major significance and importance
#nerdalert : Europe’s Richest Countries 1961 - 2022 . A pretty cool data driven visualisation based on countries GDP per capita (Current US Dollars) We have made a lot of prudent economic policy decisions in Ireland. There is definitely a direct correlation to the Irish Rugby teams world rankings, and our Cheltenham domination . But also an inverse correlation with our Eurovision placing and performance, but I’m sure somebody will map all that. 🇪🇺🌍💶🤓📈📊📉🇮🇪 (sound on 🔊🤘) #happysunday #economicpolicy #irisheconomy #dublinireland #ireland #datadriveninsights

BDS ( NAGPUR) qualified. General Dentist Dedicated dentist to serve the community, upgrade to newer treatment modality, while enhancing one's own skill.Always interested in learning new hands on skill for clinical benefits
There have been a lot of brain drain in Dentistry specially for our Indian side. But sitting here at home in India and watching this ladder of different Euro countries where our Dental comrades have migrated or may think of in the future, gives a clue to what should be considered while deciding to migrate. Since 1961 Switzerland was fixed at #1 and Ireland at the bottom.Over the years how Ireland progressed to #3 is great. How can India copy this? A question to pose to all our Dental comrades, specially at a time when polling is on in India to select it's new Prime Minister. Prime Minister's come and go after five years but what remains behind are their work seen as developments. In the last ten years I appreciate that the digital platform for banking system, online booking has improved with the internet technology. Some even were granted housing facilities with PM Awaz Yojana,as I have seen the plate PM Awaz Yojana fixed in front of the houses. Cleanliness did get a boost ,but not like Singapore type, and am grateful for the Municipality truck 🚒 to come and pick up the garbage 🗑️ twice or three times a week. They did whinge about very low levels of payment. Regarding employment???? the conditions were not very fair.So moving to a Private Practice and venturing out on my own was the only way out,and am happy for this as it made me spread my wings of knowledge and at least provide some employment for a one person. How does bureaucracy affect the Dental system,is something we should consider......

GOVERNMENT SHOULD STAND FIRM AGAINST RUSSIAN ATHLETES AT OLYMPICS UK Friends of Ukraine, supported by Ukraine APPG Co-Chair Alex Sobel, have described any involvement of Russian and Belarusian athletes at the Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games under a neutral flag as a “backwards step” and “propaganda victory” for #Putin. This follows reports that suggest that the UK Government has written to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) dropping its opposition to Russian and Belarusian athletes participating under a neutral banner. UK Friends of Ukraine is urging the Government and International sporting federations to stand firm against allowing Russian athletes to compete, given the ongoing full scale invasion and Russian terrorism against Ukraine. Alex Sobel said: "I firmly believe that the Olympics should not be exempt from the sanctions regime. Allowing Russian athletes to participate under a neutral flag would undermine the integrity of the Games and send the wrong message in the face of ongoing aggression against Ukraine. It is crucial that we maintain pressure and uphold principles of justice and solidarity, even in the realm of sports." Alex Rennie, Director of the UK Friends of Ukraine, said: "Russian athletes competing for gold medals, even under a neutral flag, provides a propaganda victory for Putin and is a backwards step in the international exclusion of Russia in response to its illegal war in Ukraine. The only white flag Russia should be allowed to use is the one where they surrender the war.” The UK government's sudden change in stance, was revealed in a letter, reported in The Times, from sports minister Stuart Andrew to IOC President Thomas Bach. Ultimately, it is down to individual federations that make up the Olympic movement to decide whether to include Russia, but positions taken by the IOC set a precedent often followed by sporting bodies. https://lnkd.in/eWiqSHFZ #BoycottRussia #2024olympics #2024paralympics #paris2024olympicgames

The Case Against Russian Involvement in the Olympics with Roman Sheremeta on Ukraine Story Podcast ------------------------------------------------------ The 2024 Paris Olympics is about to take center stage in the world's eye. One billion people will watch the events live. What of Russia? Here is some historical perspective: This is the centennial of the first Paris Olympics. One hundred years ago the world was looking for peace after the “war to end all wars.” The headlines in 1924 Paris focused on the Olympic spirit, not terrorism and war crimes. The papers were filled with stories of the great Eric Liddell (of Chariot’s of Fire fame), the swimming battle between Johnny Weissmuller (of Tarzan fame) and Duke Kahanamoku. The only violence was on the rugby field, resulting in a ban of the sport for nearly a century after America won the gold setting off riots. The 2024 Paris Olympics have different headlines. Today the debate concerns the inclusion of Russian athletes representing a state which has not only engaged in warcrimes at a scale not seen since WWII, but which has murdered more than 400 Ukrainian athletes since the launch of their full scale invasion of a sovereign nation. As a state sponsor of terrorism and warcrimes, Russia will not be recognized as a participant, but many of her athletes will be allowed to compete. What are the implications of allowing Russian athletes to compete? What is the correct approach? What can we expect from Ukraine at the Olympics? On this episode of Ukraine Story Podcast we look at these questions as we speak with Professor Roman Sheremeta, an internationally known speaker, chairman of the Ukrainian American House, and the founding rector of the American University Kyiv. ---------------------------------------- Follow and Support Roman's Work: Roman Sheremeta on LinkedIn https://lnkd.in/grHHUaEc Roman Sheremeta on X/Twitter https://lnkd.in/gtT_9Air Ukrainian American House: https://www.uahouse.org -----------------------------------------
