Marks and Spencer experienced a remarkable 10% rise in food sales in established stores. The retailer also achieved its highest market share in fashion in a decade, with a 4.8% increase in clothing and homewares sales. How did they do it? 📌 Strategic price cuts: The retail store adopted a price lock strategy and invested in 200 staple products to attract more buyers in the food section. 📌 Investment in Services: Online sales for M&S clothing and homewares soared by 10.9%, with many customers opting for in-store pickups. Notably, womenswear sales were particularly strong, with a focus on stylish offerings like velvet suits and sequins. 📌 Limited Discounts: The retail store focused less on providing discounts and more on competitive pricing. M&S does not plan to raise prices this year due to eased inflationary pressures.
