What an exciting day we were able to have today with Project Destin. It's our joy to be able to bring them in to tour them around with the goal of helping them really understand the impact that certain government decisions have made on affordable housing. The tour started in Piedmont, weaved through Oakland, and ended in Alameda so that by the time it was over, the students really got a good picture about the needs in the Bay Area for a Ford Wausau and the crisis that we're having for affordability. What we're trying to do is help them to understand the different entry points into affordable housing. There are many different ways and different tools that companies like Eating Housing use in order to build affordable housing. I am a recent graduate from University of Laverne. I go to the University of California, Santa Barbara. I'm a sophomore at the University of Southern California. I'm a second year at UC Berkeley. I'm currently a junior study economics at UCR and I go to UC San Diego. I think that being a part of the affordable housing Bridge program, I'm able to understand some of the systemic factors that impact why there isn't a lot of affordable housing. Understanding the stigma. And then how the career and how the rule changes on a day-to-day basis with new technology. The main take away that I would have is definitely the affordable housing is way more than just trying to make sure that people have a home to stay in. I think it have a bigger issue that they're tackling and they're doing it obviously by one corner at a time. We had the great opportunity to be invited into a residence home and to see how excited she was to show us her space and see how much of a difference it made in her life going and seeing the different properties. It was great to like. See the people who live there and see the difference that affordable housing can make. Well, when we had the opportunity to, you know, talk to the tenants, listen to their story, I think that was powerful. Affordable housing is a great benefit not just for the community it's being implemented, but also the lives who depend on it. So one of the things that's been really amazing for me with Project Dustin is the level of enthusiasm and that the students have embraced the affordable housing Hobart where we're going to need people behind us to continue to. Advocate to continue to educate, continue to talk about how can we support each other. I think Dustin is fantastic because it is an immersive experience. We're not doing the standard property tour. We're tackling challenging issues. We're talking about all aspects of what it is to be an affordable housing professional because affordable housing is sort of this niche industry that I don't think a lot of people know about. And so I'm really excited that Cedric and Patrick Destined is making this known and bringing in really. Great talent. I thought was really, really great to see all the different amenities that the properties had. I think it's super important to be able to build these types of communities. It really showed to me how important affordable housing development is.
