"I am not crazy my mum had me tested" 😇 I am not exactly sure how many know this famous quote from Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang theory but I am glad to share that goodbag - better world has been tested by the German Verbraucherzentrale Bundesverband and got highest possible score with a total score of 5 out 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Verbraucherzentrale is Germanys largest Independent organisation for Consumer protection and tests products and services on the basis of a state mandate from the Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz, nukleare Sicherheit und Verbraucherschutz (BMUV) This is a completely independent test that has been done without our knowledge. I am very happy that goodbag got such a great rating from this prestigious organisation because I believe consumer protection is highly important Overall goodbag to 5 out of 5 points which is the highest score. March is B Corp Month... It's a celebration of all things B Corp, and we can't think of a better way to celebrate than to share a project we've been working on with a fellow B Corp. Efeca | B Corp certified 2023 approached us towards the end of last year to help them celebrate 15 years of incredible work with a "bit of a brand tidy-up". Efeca provide advice and support to develop, implement, monitor, evaluate and report on national and international policies, regulations and private sector commitments, both voluntary and mandatory, on the sustainable and legal sourcing of natural resources, with a focus on agricultural and forest commodities. So, this was a match made in heaven for us. The months that followed our initial meeting were far more tranformative than either party imagined at the start. Our first conversation included "don't touch the logo". We touched the logo. And more. Much more. The team at Efeca embraced the strategic process from the very start. Their work is so important, but as with all things sustainability, extremely complicated. We simplified the brand idea into "tackling complexity, delivery clarity". The whole visual identity reflects this idea, from looking at the bigger picture to focusing in on the solution, with the silhouette of the new wordmark/logo creating a protective forest canopy, and the hidden 'Efeca tree' and 'Efeca leaf' within. Wide shot photography is coupled with close-ups, and a graphic window system is used to frame key assets. Typography leads with an authoritative editorial headline, paired with a more relaxed, practical choice for large blocks of text content. Even the colour palette has been built out in pairs to reinforce the creative strategy. To Emily Fripp, Lucy Cullinane and the whole Efeca | B Corp certified 2023 team – you have been a dream to work with. Your trust and enthusiasm has been immense throughout. So happy to see this and the effects of Germany's #ReusablePackagingLaw #Mehrwegpflicht 💪 🥤 ♻️ I am, however, wondering whether we could be doing more to #MakeReuseAccessible. To me, the districts in the comparison below seem to indicate that especially gentrified, economically and socially stable neighborhoods can afford to make this lifestyle change, and others may not be able to as easily. Just putting it out there, 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘄𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 #ReuseSolutions 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆'𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆'𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲? What #Collaborations are needed to offer everybody reuse options that solve their specific problems? I'm still very much on the #Unpackaged train when it comes to this, but I also think we need a 𝚍𝚒𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜𝚎 𝚜𝚎𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝚘𝚙𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜 (𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚍𝚎𝚌𝚒𝚜𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎𝚛𝚜!!) 𝚝𝚘 𝚖𝚊𝚔𝚎 𝚊 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚑𝚎𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚟𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚏𝚝 𝚝𝚘 𝚛𝚎𝚞𝚜𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚍𝚎𝚕𝚜.
