At Reciprocity Health, we are deeply committed to improving access and delivering better health outcomes at a lower cost. One of the areas we focus on is eye health, particularly for populations at risk, like those living with diabetes. Diabetic retinal scans are vital in preventing sight loss for diabetic patients. These screenings can detect diabetic retinopathy early, often before patients even notice any changes in their vision. Early detection and intervention are key to preserving sight and improving quality of life. We believe in incentivizing patients to prioritize their eye health. By rewarding patients for attending these essential exams, we not only encourage regular screenings but also foster a proactive approach to health management. Our behavioral economics-based campaigns are designed to ensure that at-risk patients stay on top of their eye health, ultimately leading to better outcomes.

𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 - 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒! As a women's health dietitian, I see the impact of endometriosis, chronic pelvic pain, and PCOS on a daily basis. These conditions can be incredibly isolating, and women often feel unheard by their GPs due to time constraints. The recent budget allocation of $49.1 million specifically for these issues means: • Subsidised extended consultations: GPs, the first point of contact for many women, will have the time to truly listen to concerns and develop comprehensive care plans. This is a game-changer! • Increased accessibility to specialist care: More affordable gynaecological consultations will ensure women receive the vital healthcare they deserve. Consequently, this will lead to earlier diagnoses and intervention. With improved access and support, more women may seek dietetic advice sooner, integrating nutrition into their care plans right from the start. Diet and lifestyle changes are key to symptom management and achieving hormonal balance, often the root cause of these gynaecological concerns. This proactive holistic approach not only supports better health outcomes but also empowers women to take charge of their well-being. I'm excited to be part of a healthcare landscape that prioritises women's needs. Let's work together to make a difference! 💯 Update on endometriosis for 2024: https://lnkd.in/gmHAP3uJ #womenshealth #endometriosis #chronicpelvicpain #PCOS #australianhealthcare #dietitian #earlydiagnosis #healthcareaccessibility #FederalBudget2024

Led by a rheumatology consultant, the Bone Health Service is available at Blackrock Health’s Blackrock Clinic and Hermitage Clinic. Blackrock Clinic offers a Bone Health programme to those already diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia. Designed to educate on exercise, nutrition, fall prevention/stress and osteoporosis medications, this programme gives you the confidence to manage your bone health in a safe way. "Symptoms versus tests to determine a candidiasis diagnosis. (Part 2) (continued) Other patients require a high index of suspicion to avoid overlooking their yeast-related disturbances, and this is when testing is essential. Keep in mind, many sufferers have covert, not overt, candidiasis-related problems. Many people take the Candidiasis Questionnaire (in chapter 1 of Unraveling Candidiasis), get a low number and conclude, “Great, I’m candidiasis-free!” Yes, symptom-wise, they may be on the mild end of the spectrum but, keep in mind, the greatest benefit of anti-candidiasis therapy is to create wellness; clearly, the best way to prevent a fire is to put it out before it spreads. The bottom line is, once you understand candidiasis and its diversity-variety of manifestations, you will realize that it is more prevalent and widespread than is currently appreciated. And maybe, just maybe, you will be motivated to look under the tip of the iceberg." - by Dr. Marc Bielski for Little Spirit Books #candida #candidiasis #microbiome #holistichealth #integrativemedicine
