You don't deserve a viral post on LinkedIn... So this is the response I'll give someone who says something like that to me, "If I don't deserve a viral post, then you don't too." Anyways this post isn't so much about having a viral post or not on LinkedIn but this is where I am really headed. I don't know if you've met people who act like they're the only ones deserving of the good things of life. When you share your little achievements with them, they give you that look of disdain. They don't want you to measure up in any way, they expect you to remain small forever. Look! that you even have people like this around is a sign that you're making progress with your life. Don't lose focus, keep on keeping on, it's only a matter of time, your RESULTS will speak. Finally someone willing to speak the hard truth. I can be silent no longer. It's time to take a stand. Against generic LinkedIn posts. Hate is bad, right? Puppies are cute, right? Rainbows are pretty, right? And ice cream is delicious, right? I am fed up of lowest common denominator posts showing up in my feed and going viral. I don't blame the LinkedIn algorithm, it's responding accurately to what people engage with. Don't hate the player, hate the game. But if I see another: 'stop asking new joiners to have 10 years experience' or similarly brainless and obvious post I will pull my hair out. Going viral is nice. But it does little for your business. And posting images like I am doing here just makes you/me look dumb and unimaginative! Focus your content strategy on solving real problems for your actual target audience. It won't get you a million likes, but it will get you the attention of those who actually matter to you: your paying customers. And if you insist on going for likes, please post puppy pictures instead. They are much less annoying. Or maybe I'm just a hater.

Soo many bs myths here on LinkedIn! Those 3 myths: 1. No need to engage for hours every day. 20 minutes is enough 2. No need to spend 6 hours creating carousel posts. Just write shorter posts. 3. No need to reply to every person who comments on your posts. Just reply to 15 of them. Just like most people I can't either make LinkedIn my full-time job. This is great, cuz you don't have to. You’ll gain results in an hour/day. High expectations should not be a barrier.
