CEO @ Homeboy Industries | Non-Profit Social Enterprise

Please join me congratulating the Class of 2024! Last week we hosted 90 newly minted graduates of the Homeboy Industries family, our largest class yet. We’re so proud that we’re able to invest in people going back to school so they can finish what they started in their youth. With so many roadblocks in the way, some of our folks never thought they would graduate, but with our committed Homeboy Education Team to support them, our graduates are realizing their goals. There were many memorable and touching moments throughout the day, one of which was watching our grads say what it meant to them to graduate, and others, speaking movingly to their mothers in heaven. To top the day off, some of our graduates actually completed their studies while in prison and they never got the chance to “walk.” We were thrilled to have them come up on stage to finally receive the recognition of their accomplishments.    Thank you to Fox 11 for the wonderful coverage on our graduation services; we appreciate your ongoing support in sharing Homeboy milestones. We’re witnessing true Kinship in action... This is The Homeboy Way.
