Good update on the current state of the carbon removal industry from Maeve Allsup highlighting the investment the space has picked up, but is still far off from dollars needed to address the issue. Tech giants like Strip, Alphabet, and Meta have come together to form a group called Frontier thats committed to investing in the space but they've only committed ~$1bn of an estimated $20bn need to speed the transition and drive costs down by 2030. We of course know the petroleum co's are active in the space but we need to always question what their motivation is and if they are really trying to transition away from traditional fossil fuels.

🌟 We announced a groundbreaking 3,000-ton deal with Boston Consulting Group (BCG), facilitated by our trusted partners at Carbonx Climate.
🚀 Additionally, we announced the second-largest Biochar carbon removal credit deal to date, amounting to an incredible 81,600 ton with Senken. This achievement not only highlights the growing trust in biochar's potential but also solidifies our position as leaders in the field.

Microsoft's famously strict carbon credits team just gave a stamp of approval to biochar as a carbon removal tool. Carbon Streaming Corporation will supply them with 10,000 tons of credits per year, the rough equivalent of taking 2,500 cars off the road each year.
🤓 This deal shows that companies are continuing to show confidence in high quality carbon credits.
