A contract is a promise to do the work you say you’re going to do. The only big difference is that it’s not bound by good faith or pinkie swears, but by the law. If you’re thinking of walking on a contract, it’s going to be about a lot more than just the money you leave on the table. You have to be good for what you owe your client by the terms of the contract, and that could be quite a lot.
