It was a pleasure to host Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, First Lady Marty Kemp, Georgia Department of Economic Development Commissioner Pat Wilson and their delegation celebrating 40 years of their having a Georgia office in Korea. Thanks to the support of leaders in Georgia, including Trip Tollison and the Savannah Economic Development Authority, the construction of our $7.6 billion Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) operation is ahead of schedule. This is part of a $12.6 billion investment in Georgia which also includes two battery JVs. Our first Hyundai IONIQ 5 will come off the line in October this year. Thanks to all the women and men of HMGMA, our partners and suppliers who are working so hard to build high quality, safety focused, EVs with technology that our customers value. It’s a great time to be with Hyundai!
