SEEKING INPUT for #Arizona data (b/c this is surprising given our booming inbound #1 population growth overall?!?) This is based on some initial data pulls from BLS data. Y'all, I'm kind of hoping this is all wrong. *Because it would seem to indicate we're not attracting veteran talent very well given that AZ grew by 95% (FASTEST IN NATION!) from 1990-2020.* I'm guessing others are already tracking this over time? Can any one in AZ help us validate? I would love to know so that we can try to collaborate for data understanding on behalf of the state that we all 💙! #VeteranEmployment

Many interactive dashboards aggregating crime trends you select a dropdown and get an individual cities data. But often of interest is to compare your city vs other cities or comparison areas. Here I created a dashboard to show relative statistics for officer hiring trends -- this allows you to see how your agency compares to others of similar size (can select the comparison cities via population selection) https://lnkd.in/etTz-EXH Provides example metrics for number of sworn per capita (and 80% coverage intervals) from 1975 through 2022, percent female compared to US total for the same time period, and percentile rank of civilian hires in 2022. Tech stack is supabase backend and D3 charts on the frontend. #dashboard #crimeanalysis #lawenforcement

Cleaning, organizing, and prepping survey data for analysis. It’s probably one of the funnest parts of my job. Seeing the stories start to unfold is like watching a movie. You are anticipating finding out where the story takes you (and determining whether or not you like the ending). Whatever direction the data takes you, there’s always truth, something to learn, and a story to be told. It’s incredibly rewarding and inspiring to know that your work can lead to advocacy and macro level changes for the most important group, vulnerable populations that participate in the programs and systems we are hoping to impact. #dataanalysis #spss #surveyresearch
