This article shocked me. If it wasn't from Gallup I would have been skeptical of the data, but their studies are large and it points to a wide gap in perceptions that I think falls in scope for executive and leadership coaches. I believe if we are not asking questions around AI, then we are not addressing what is likely to be the biggest disruptor of our time. #executivecoaching #leadershipcoaching #coaching

The “2023 LDC U.S. Latinos in Technology Report” from the Latino Donor Collaborative showcases the massive opportunity that exists with a booming industry and cohort: AI and U.S. Latinos. AI is estimated to have an annual growth rate of 37.3% by 2030, and Latinos, the fastest growing cohort, happen to be enrolling in engineering schools at the highest pace. Representation in tech is more important than ever. AI models are only as good as the data they are trained on and AI often feeds misinformation about Latino communities. With U.S. Latinos getting involved in the data input supply chain, AI models will better serve and represent the Latino population as we all work to close diversity gaps in the industry. At BODEN Agency, we believe the future is Hispanic and our community's potential impact in the future of AI is astronomical. With AI leading the charge in the tech industry, it is crucial to authentically foster diversity to ensure that AI’s benefits are accessible and supportive of the fastest growing workforce in the country. Thank you Ana Valdez for providing this data, insights and the tools we need as we all come together to make a difference. #WeAreBODEN #independent #hispanic #minorityowned

🔄 AI for Reducing Bias in Recruitment Hello, LinkedIn family! 🌍 Today’s topic is close to my heart - diversity and inclusion. I've noticed a positive shift in our diversity metrics since adopting AI-driven tools. What about you? Have you seen similar improvements in your workplace? Let's discuss how we can use AI to build more inclusive teams. 🌈 #DiversityAndInclusion #AI #BiasReduction #HRInnovation

Over 50% of men are using AI in their professional and personal lives, compared to just a third of women. Why? Women may be less comfortable with AI because they weren’t encouraged to embrace STEM at an earlier age, and they have also expressed more skepticism with AI overall, most likely because of fear of bias. How does this impact the advertising industry at large? Watch live from the #EqualityLounge at #AWNewYork23 for a discussion on how to close the gap and make AI more equitable for all. • Amber Coleman-Mortley, Sr. Director, Community and Culture, The Female Quotient • Emily Wengert, Managing Director and Executive Creative Director, Huge Inc. • Candace Marks, Sr. Director, Product Management, Getty Images • Jocelyn Lee, Managing Director, Digital Advertising, Deloitte Digital • Anne Hunter, SVP, B2B Products and Go-to-Market, North America, Ipsos

Here is an experiment for you to try: Ask an AI Image Generator to produce images of a CEO or a Successful CEO. The results might be quite telling. In my attempt, I found that it only produced images of older, white males wearing traditional business suits. There is a complete lack of representation across various demographics, including age, gender, race, other minority groups, and individuals with visually apparent disabilities. Ironically, this AI is doing precisely what it's designed to do – recognizing the historical patterns (white males have historically held the majority of CEO positions) and returning results consistent with this pattern. Outliers are discarded because they don't conform to the expected norm. The problem at hand is historic discrimination and a lack of diversity representation are not only perpetuated but more likely amplified by AI. When we tweak our request to "Successful CEO taking into account diversity and disability," we get slightly better results, but it's clear that there's still work to be done. While AI is undoubtedly a remarkable tool, we must be vigilant about the data sets it draws upon. It's crucial that we address biases and take great care in how we phrase our requests. As we advance in technology, we must also advance in our commitment to inclusivity and diversity. #AI #Diversity #Inclusion #PCSI

The acceleration of technological advances and population demographics in many parts of the world are converging to create incredible opportunities for those who are adaptable. The people and organizations that succeed will foster this adaptability – rethinking traditional roles, focusing on skills that can’t be replicated by technology, and encouraging retraining professional development.
Both a ‘skills tsunami’ and a ‘silver tsunami’ are set to hit the workforce at the same time, McKinsey says.
