So there we have it! My first airline interview done! Having done many interviews myself in my agency years seeking talent to fit and the client and the team and the budget, this was a whole new ballgame. One big takeaway to be included in the non aviation world: Prepare scenarios for your candidates and write down all the items you want them to hit on. —> In aviation I can say: Safety, Cost, and Comfort - in that order - are the keywords you need to hit on. Additionally aviation includes reliance on their crew, the company phone, and medical personel. So what would that be for your office work people? In what order are they going to address the hypothetical scenario you give them, and who are they relying on in their team! The way they answer the scenarios will at least show that they have the capability to concieve of the behavior you are looking for. It’s up to the rest of the company culture to make sure it also happens after they start.
