I joined the WISE - Women In Safety Excellence mentorship program as I am a firm believer of leading by example. An approach that delivers a number of benefits including but not limited to: Inspiration: One is able to demonstrate behaviors aligned with their values by inspiring others to emulate similar behavior, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Trust and Credibility: Members are able to develop believability and authenticate indeed they can follow suit. The program also gains respect and admiration. Clarity of Expectations: Doubt, confusion and unanswered questions that bring ambiguity on the impact of the program is removed from aspiring members who may wish to take up the program. Motivation: Leading by example exhibits dedication, resilience, and professionalism for members to raise their hands and be intentional with their personal development. Positive Culture: Leading by example helps to create a positive organizational culture characterized by integrity, transparency, and accountability. This, in turn, contributes to member morale and engagement. Innovation and Creativity: This demonstrates openness to new ideas, risk-taking, and adaptability thus driving continuous improvement and growth. Personal Development: Leading by example requires self-awareness and continuous self-improvement. As a transformational leader, modelling is an attribute that automatically provides valuable learning opportunities, a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement. Join Cohort III and experience personal growth in areas most often than not we ignore because we are busy with 'other things'. Are you a WISE - Women In Safety Excellence member? Why mentor? Mentorship is an excellent way to improve and refine your leadership skills. By becoming a mentor, you will gain valuable insight into your leadership strengths and weaknesses through the interactive teaching process and exchanging ideas with your mentee. In addition, You can improve your communication skills and gain satisfaction from giving back while finding purpose in something that matters, creating a lasting impact and increasing your happiness. Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) #leadership #mentorshipmatters
Happy National Mentoring Month! Today, we celebrate mentors who empower NFTE students to develop their entrepreneurial skills and guide them through their journey. We are truly grateful for your dedication, passion, and commitment as mentors! Thank you for playing a vital role in shaping our students' skills and confidence for success in both business and life.
