I have been working in Rstudio recently and it has been a wild ride! I go from days where I believe I have it all figured out to days where I wonder who I am lol. R language is definitely unique in the way you code, but it is not bad. #dataanalytics #dataanalyst #dataanalysis

A pet project of mine, Frequently Used Files (VS Code Extension), is finally seeing the light of day. At Upstreet, I would frequently add features or fix bugs in some of our logical subsystems (e.g. transaction pipeline, reward generation, automatic rules for submitting transactions, partner APIs, etc.). I typically needed to refamiliarise myself with the code before starting work, which meant getting back up to speed with the main entry points. My VS Code extension allows developers to bookmark their frequently used files. Once stored, these frequently used files can be opened individually or as a group. Try it out in VS Code and give me some feedback: https://lnkd.in/gCyTKPpA There's a lot more to do with the extension, but I'm giving myself a pat on the back for getting this out. I'll write another post about the development experience associated with building an extension soon.

Problem 50: Check if an array is sorted and rotated. Given an array nums, return true if the array was originally sorted in non-decreasing order, then rotated some number of positions (including zero). Otherwise, return false. Input: nums = [3,4,5,1,2] Output: true Explanation: [1,2,3,4,5] is the original sorted array. You can rotate the array by x = 3 positions to begin on the the element of value 3: [3,4,5,1,2]. Input: nums = [2,1,3,4] Output: false Explanation: There is no sorted array once rotated that can make nums #DSA #javscript #openToWork #frontend #striver #ProblemSolving

The engineers who designed the #Voyager probes half a century ago even thought of the possibility that a wrong sequence of commands may point the antenna dish away from Earth (like someone did a couple of days ago). And they implemented a self-adjusting mechanism that a few times a year scans the positions of a few known stars to infer the position of the Earth and point back the antenna in the right direction. 50 years later, these wonderful machines are still working, tens of billions of km away from earth, with only 69 KB of RAM, and even a wrong sequence of commands won't put them out of use, while nowadays 4 GB of RAM aren't even enough to start VsCode or IntelliJ. The more I understand how they were designed, the more I feel like an early Medieval engineer looking at the Pantheon or other marvels of Roman architecture. Some amazing skills, knowledge and attention to details have been lost from that generation to ours. https://lnkd.in/dm2N8ybD
