The care staff shortage in Australian healthcare sectors is a well-documented issue. We hear that several healthcare sectors are competing for the healthcare staff. We also hear due to the staff shortages, aged care providers have to deal with unexpected agency costs which puts additional pressure on the already fragile financial situation many aged care providers are finding themselves in. To understand the availability levels of RNs and ENs across several healthcare sectors including aged care, we have incorporated additional information layers to our 'Market Analyser' tool. These information layers include: 1. Nurse division by LGA - total sum 2. Nurse job function by LGA - total sum 3. Care professional by LGA - total sum The purpose of offering this information is to enable providers to make informed decisions when growing in other markets.
