"Met with Kirk Scirto recently. He is a 2009 graduate of the UR/HH family medicine residency. He has returned from various global health long term projects and is now working at an Indian reservation near Buffalo. It was the first time I was able to congratulate him in person for his new book, “Doing Global Health Work: Approaches that Really Make a Difference.” It emphasizes all the right things, and looks carefully at the evidence, or lack thereof, of common global health approaches. And instead of just criticizing, he has practical solutions that prioritize early community involvement, and thus greatly enhance sustainability. I admire Kirk because he shares my passionate dislike for our current health insurance health system, but he is much more productive and calm in his outward display of dislike, something I’m still working on." – Dr. Stephen Schultz Learn more about "Doing Global Health Work": https://lnkd.in/gt4se5B5
