The difficulty and cost of recruiting full-time surgical staff keep growing. Hiring temporary workers or traveling nurses comes with sky-high costs. 📈 ORs are trying to patch together coverage, pulling resources from other departments and asking staff to take on more responsibilities. Unfortunately, this approach can add to the burnout and turnover problem by asking untrained, non-certified staff members to operate complex surgical technology. Not only does this practice increase compliance risk to those team members, but it also increases the risk of case delays and patient safety issues. Our team of surgical technicians can help — when and where they’re needed. Get started today 👉https://lnkd.in/gy_Hw8-A #SurgicalServices #SurgicalTechnicians #StaffingChallenges

Overburden Many healthcare workers (physicians, providers, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, phlebotomists, imaging techs, pharmacy techs, environmental services, etc.) are experiencing overburden. An online dictionary defined overburden as: to make someone or something work too hard or carry, contain, or deal with too much. Are we asking people to work too hard or carry too much? Here’s an example of a primary care provider’s typical day: After seeing a full schedule of patients from 8 - 5 (he got lunch today, some days he eats at his desk), he spends 2 - 3 hours at home answering messages, reviewing labs and imaging reports, and other “indirect” work. He and his medical assistant have been together for 6 years and are a high functioning team. He is proud that together, they are caught up on their indirect care delivery for his large panel of patients. Adding to his burden is the concern that because he is caught up, the health system will move his medical assistant to help his colleagues - some of whom are several weeks behind on their indirect patient care. Breaking his effective and collaborative partnership will bury him in a backlog of tasks. Overburdening this provider and many other healthcare workers is creating burnout. Let’s do better. Where do you think we can start to reduce overburden? | Customer Service driven | Over a decade of Certified Pharmacy Tech Experience in a high call volume center| 2.5 years in an RPO full cycle recruitment talent advisory role| Open to connect | Bobcat!|
Happy Monday everyone ☀️☀️ Rather it’s been helping patients manage their medication regimens my almost 11 years when I was a certified pharmacy technician, or helping Nurses find roles that they love with a healthcare system that supports my family members and friends, I always love roles where I get to help people. I love the relationships and connections that you make just by listening to and helping someone. I loved getting postcards from patients when I worked at the pharmacy, and one year a patient sent a pot holder she crocheted to me with one of our delivery drivers that I’ll always keep. Below was a sweet message from a nurse I helped place when I was recruiting nurses. We never know how the smallest act of making time for a person to listen to them and help them will truly impact them and their life. If anyone has a remote role, or a role in Garner, Nc or Raleigh, Nc where I can help people in similar ways, please reach out. I am still looking for my right fit with a forever company right now. 💜 #openforwork #opentohire #opentoconnections #opentowork #raleighjobs #garnernc #raleighnc #talentacquisition #customerexperience #customerexperience #clientrelationships #customerretention #patientsafety #patientcare #patientretention #motivationmonday #mondaymotivation #morningcoffee
