Curious about how #ElectricVehicle batteries are cooled? 🚗💡 The dominant method currently involves water-glycol mixtures as coolants. The battery is cooled by one or more cooling plates through which the coolant flows. Heat is then transferred to another refrigerant via a heat exchanger for optimal battery operation. Safety, efficiency and longevity are key considerations. But there is more to it than that... 🚗💨 Turbochargers and Inter Coolers of Diesel Engines💡🔧 In today's automotive industry, efficiency and performance are key drivers of innovation. Here is a look at two critical components that enhance these aspects in Diesel engines: the turbocharger and the inter cooler. 🔍 **Turbocharger**: It uses the exhaust gas coming out of the exhaust manifold to push more air to the inlet of the same engine. A turbocharger generally consists of two parts of a single-shafted turbine, one side is driven by the exhaust gas, the other side drives the inlet gas into the inlet manifold through the Intercooler. By compressing air entering the engine, the turbocharger boosts power output and efficiency, making engines more powerful and fuel-efficient 🌬️ **Inter Cooler**: The incoming air is condensed here by dissipating heat, resulting in more mass flow into the engine, thereby improving combustion quality. 🔧 As the turbocharger rotates at a very high speed (80,000-2,00,000 rpm). Hence proper lubrication and cooling are of utmost importance.
