👷♂️What does a line technician do at an airport? Here is a snippet of what we do here at Skyward Aviation! They are responsible for marshaling, towing, parking, greeting and organizing aircraft that are arriving or departing from the airport ramp. They never pilot aircraft but often tow planes to appropriate flight areas and hangars. 🦺🛫 #aviationjobs #airportlife #linetechnician #rampoperations #aircraftmaintenance #airportjobs #aviationindustry #groundcrew #aviationcareer #teamwork

Houdini of box thinking 🪄My company and app provide premium photography & marketing solutions for thousands of Realtors, Homeowners, and Businesses in North Florida. We can help you "Be Seen Differently".
Have you thought about the confining limitations of your space lately? Chances are that if you’re feeling comfortable, you’ve stopped growing. I’ve noticed that discomfort and growth run on a parallel plane 📈But when life isn’t giving you a challenge, what are you doing to challenge yourself? I keep piling on projects, saying “yes” to all the things until I’m run well past my breaking point, but all that does is set a new boundary on how much I can handle or even just HOW I handle what I have. Did I ever think I would running a business, working in the business, going to grad school and starting an app company all at the same time? One year ago I would have said “I’m not sure I can handle that” 🤔 Five years ago I would have said “you’re crazy, I’m drowning as it is” 🫨 Ten years ago, my current status would have been unfathomable - I simply didn’t think I was capable of doing more than being a firefighter/paramedic 🧑🚒 - to be quite honest, 20 years ago - I wouldn’t have believed I was even capable of that. 😔 I had a very limited mindset and I didn’t really see a world where I wasn’t working for someone else. This video made me think of how much I’ve grown as a result of all of the trials - it is a great example of handling discomfort. I’m actually a certified confined space technician and this job might be a big old nope from me. Confined space ✅ Confined space upside down 🚩 Confined space water 🚩 Confined space can’t move arms except out in front 🚩 Confined space stuck 🚩🚩🚩 Confined space kitten in distress ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅ Your discomfort can sometimes relative. Now, I haven’t done confined space training for nearly a decade - I would need the training wheels back on for a while to feel comfortable again but that’s ok. It’s ok, to step back into your comfort zone for a breather every now and then - you just can’t be afraid to get back in to get the job done. My hope for this weekend is that you’ll start pushing along those boundaries, and get into some uncomfortable spaces and find some place for growth.

Meet one of our Instructors, Conrad Mouton. We asked him to share some insights about his aviation career with us: A MEMORABLE EXPERIENCE FROM YOUR EARLY DAYS OF FLYING: I got my first flight before I every learned how to drive a car. In fact, I found driving far more intimidating than learning to fly. So much so that I would plan to be at the flight school at least an hour early so that I could calm down before the flight lesson. ADVICE TO SOMEONE WHO IS AFRAID OF FLYING: Its ok to be nervous of flying. A helicopter can be a very intimidating machine and we see them crash in movies all the time. Don't you worry, our helicopters are maintained to the best possible standard and we take pride in making sure you arrive at your destination safely. If we cannot guarantee a reasonable margin of safety, we will not leave the ground in the first place. ONE THING YOU WISH MORE PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT FLYING A HELICOPTER: Helicopter flying isn't an impossible skill. It does take time and dedication to master and remains vulnerable to complacency and showmanship. Sincere effort into learning and developing the skills, attitudes and decision-making abilities will always carry further than "Natural talent". #flyhelicopters #helicopterpilot #instructor

🤘🔧Finalist Spotlight: Joshua Borel, Chennault Aviation Academy Flight Training 👉 Vote Now: https://lnkd.in/gb9T59ea Joshua Borel is the Director Of Maintenance for Chennault Aviation Group. He has a lifelong passion for aviation and joined the Air Force in 2011 to turn that passion into a career. He served as a C-5 Isochronal Inspection Crew Chief before separating from the military in 2014 and enrolling at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance in 2016. His favorite thing about being a technician: In Joshua’s words, “I can honestly say that aviation is where I belong and that anyone willing to become a technician that has the passion love and focus to become certified should.” He explained an initiative he is particularly excited to participate in: “In April of 2023, we broke ground on a new airport- Chennault Field (25TX) located just outside of Cut and Shoot Texas. Phase I was completed in November 2023, and Phase II is planned to begin soon. Our main goals for this airport are to become a General Aviation Community center and to uphold the legacy Gen. Chennault and the Chennault Foundation left to us. I am extremely proud to be not only an A&P I.A. Technician but also part of a fast-growing company like Chennault Aviation Group. I look forward to starting our own Part 147 school (Chennault Aviation Maintenance Academy) and passing on my love for aviation to future generations alongside my former instructor and very dear friend.” Why Joshua was nominated: An instructor turned colleague nominated Joshua, who first met him when he enrolled at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance in Houston, Texas, in 2016. Joshua’s nominator summarizes, “I can confidently recommend & nominate Joshua as he is the example of a modern, safety conscious, aircraft technician.” Making a positive impact: Outside of work, Joshua is also involved in Texas Warbird Thunder remote-controlled airplanes and is the president of Space City RC Club. He is also a member of the Lone Star Flight Museum, Conroe EAA VMC/IMC club, and the Altar guild at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. In the words of Joshua’s nominator, “I now work with Joshua at our school where he is the Director of Maintenance. He is the first to volunteer to help the student pilots and the technicians become better aviators. He is always hosting cookouts for the students and technicians, constantly going above and beyond for his field of Aviation. He puts in crazy hours to ensure the academy operates smoothly without any safety issues.” 👉 Read More about Joshua at https://lnkd.in/gb9T59ea

Guess my line almost fifty years ago! Not too many people know but once upon a time, I was a flight attendant for small regional airline before becoming a pilot. So I know firsthand the unique lifestyle as a pilot and a flight attendant. According to CNN, flight attendants often work 12 to 15 hour days without compensation for ground delays. This leads to significant exhaustion and burn out and highlights the urgent need for industry changes to ensure their well-being. Let’s advocate for better working conditions for flight attendants, pilots, ATC, mechanic workers and all safety related rules and aviation. After all, we’re all human!!!! #Aviation #Burnout #MentalHealth #FlightAttendants #Pilots #ATC #Mechanics #Aviation#Well-being #MentalHealth
