We’re pleased to officially introduce VidGen-1, our state-of-the-art generative AI video model designed for high-end ADAS through L4 autonomous driving development and validation. Trained on thousands of hours of video, VidGen-1 generates a diversity of driving scenarios covering different geographies, landscapes, camera types, and vehicle perspectives. VidGen-1 is based on our innovations in generative DNN architectures and Deep Teaching technology, enabling it to generate highly realistic driving video, which has significance for both prediction and simulation tasks. When leveraged for generative simulation, VidGen-1 can effectively bridge the "sim-to-real" gap, and the technology behind it is adaptable to real-time AI-based intent prediction and path planning software across the AV stack. Our video generation approach is furthermore versatile, in that it can be applied to autonomous driving, robotics, and any other industry that also relies on video data. How can we generate interesting edge cases to test our autonomous vehicles in simulation? We propose CtRL-Sim, a novel framework for closed-loop behaviour simulation that enables fine-grained control over agent behaviours. arXiv: https://lnkd.in/e_2nnfA5 CtRL-Sim leverages return-conditioned offline reinforcement learning with exponential tilting for multi-agent closed-loop, reactive, and controllable behaviour simulation. CtRL-Sim can modify existing traffic scenarios to generate a wide range of agent behaviours, by “tilting” each agent towards good (positive tilting) or bad (negative tilting) driving behaviours. CtRL-Sim outperforms competitive baselines on the task of closed-loop multi-agent simulation while providing an efficient and interpretable mechanism for behaviour control. CtRL-Sim is also significantly more efficient than methods that require expensive Bayesian optimization or guided diffusion sampling. Please check out our paper for more details! Join us for #VLautoSE in Munich to discuss this question and various related ones in the field of perception and sensor-fusion: 🚀 How can ADAS and AD perception systems be designed to improve over time and be updated during the full vehicle lifecycle? 🚀 How do machine-learning based approaches benefit from the change to the software-defined vehicle? 🚀 Why do we use high-definition maps - and could mapless autonomous driving be an enabler for autonomy at scale? I'll share insights on how we leverage transformer neural networks and explainable sensor-fusion at driveblocks to provide a mapless alternative to architectures which are heavily based on high-definition maps.
