Feeling great after finishing two talks in #Hotchips 2023 at Stanford about sparse AI accelerator design in the last three days. Thanks for the hardwork of hotchips committee and my two great hosts in ML inference Tom St. John and Grant Ayers. In this year’s hotchips, Jeff Dean and Bill Dally have given two great keynotes about the trends of AI models and hardware. The muti-modality and sparsity will be the near future direction for AI models. Quantization and sparsity will be two main techniques for efficient ML inference.

IBM Storage Expert Forum - day 3 3 days of massive technological & scientific knowledge transfer. This morning Dr. Basil Moshous is telling us a little something about IBMs AI #watsonx from an IBM research perspective. We just might expand a little on that and educate you partners out there on IBM AI and #IBMPower10 based on our experiences in our Munich Power Lab. How about it, Sejid Canoski , Peter Kindiger , Nick Notter and Thomas Mc Daniel ? Should we really share this ‘well kept secret’ of running massive LLMs fast without a GPU? #ibmchampion #watsonx #tdsynnex.
