Do people think free booze and samosas at the office are perks? They must be delusional about what keeps employees engaged! So, a friend was raving about her new job the other day, practically frothing at the mouth about the "amazing perks." She said her office provided free beer every Friday and unlimited chai and samosas every other day! I told her that free booze and artery-clogging snacks aren't impressive; they're insulting. My ideal work environment doesn't involve a sugar crash at 3 pm or needing a nap after "Casual Fridays." I want to be paid to deliver results, not to gain weight and develop a dependence on junk food. A good company should invest in creating a collaborative space with energetic minds, not a sugar-fueled haze. Focus on building a culture of productivity, not one of empty calories. The reward for my work must be my paycheck, not an order of cheese-burst pizza from Domino's. The best perk you can offer is the chance to see my work contribute to the company's growth and my own professional development. Everything else – the "free" food and "fun" activities – is just fluff. What truly motivates and retains top talent? It's the opportunity to do meaningful work, to be surrounded by bright minds, and to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. That's the recipe for a great work environment, not a bottomless basket of McDonalds burgers and fries. #OfficeLife #Perks #JustSayNo

The 40-hour work week has swelled to be "comically large," especially for management and other salaried positions. What if you went to a pizza shop, and the only thing they were serving was a giant, 30-inch pizza? No personal pan pizzas. No modest 12" to share with a friend. Add a 2-inch crust (I mean, commute), and job consumers are like.... "no way... I can't stomach that." I'd rather go hungry. Workers continue to prioritize mental health and well being, work-life balance, and agency. And so people are opting out of full time work. Especially those with a lot already on their plates. Companies that only offer full-time positions are going to find themselves with fewer customers... Yes, you heard that right. Job candidates are customers. And they are eyeing the size of that pizza pie (and what it costs), and passing. Job flexibility is the way of the future. Innovate. #qualityjobs #worklifebalance #recruitment #talentacquisition #pizza #workforceinnovation #talentstrategy https://lnkd.in/eWK-g9jT

🚨 I have found THE BEST company #benefit EVER🚨 On an introductory meeting with a potential new client this morning and in the course of the chat it cropped up that they had a God-tier company benefit. Forget your "Pizza Fri-yays 🍕" and bean bags - this team gives their employees a Christmas turkey 🦃 (or equivalent meat/veggie/vegan option) every year. Mind blown 🤗 What's more, they didn't even think this was a big deal. But imagine how much that means to their employees? Christmas can be an incredibly expensive time for people so by providing a centre piece for the big meal of the day you're taking some of that stress away, benefitting not just the employee but their entire family. #hiringmanagers #internaltalent and #HR people - that's what you're aiming for with company benefits. Real, tangible improvements to your teams lives, not just stuff that looks good on LinkedIn. #recruitment #retention #EVP

A People Leader, HR Professional, Critical Thinker loves in Building, Nurturing and Driving happy Teams to achieve the goals and impact Organisational Performance and Development.
Customisation : Weekends are the best time to spend whole lot of quality time with Family. Especially during holidays and weekends, our thoughts automatically revolves around preparing delicious dishes for kids. Today is Dosa Day for us. Yes, its our breakfast menu with some fruits. My younger one tasted cheese Dosa in one of the restaurants with her Dad and her demand for Dosa is with some cheese (we have slice cheese fortunately) and other top ups which add spicy flavour to her savour and my elder one is favourite of karam dosa (home made karappodi with some ghee). It is surprise to see that the Dosa batter is the same, but, in order to persuade the children to enjoy home food, I need to experiment something, innovate, do some customization to make them happy, fulfil their taste buds with healthy food, which is the end goal to achieve. Likewise, 🌿Don’t you think that we should have compelling customization plans while we engage the employees too in order to retain the best talent. 🌿Don’t you think, that our employee retention ideas💡 should be customized. Because, every individual’s needs, aspirations and ambitions are different with respect to their career, thus investing their time and efforts in the Organisation. However, are we ready to understand the needs of our team members, align them to organisational goals and motivate them to do their best by deriving customised training plans for them, customized engagement plan for a particular department, customised R&R Programme for a Business Unit and sky is the limit. Understand that it is a Hercules task, but some brain storming, innovation, identify pros and cons at the leadership level in any organisation can help them to attract and retain best talent in the Organisation. Ultimately as HR Professionals, we all look for Happy and Engaged employees be part of thriving Business Excellence and be part of Winning Teams. #leadershipinsights #innovation #retainingtalent #employeeengagement #employeeretention #customisation

Catering lunch for your team can play a significant role in boosting productivity, fostering team spirit, and creating a positive work environment. Here are some reasons why catering lunch for your team is important: ✅ Convenience and Time-Saving 🕒: Providing catered lunch eliminates the need for employees to leave the office and spend time searching for a meal. It saves time that would otherwise be spent waiting in line at a restaurant or preparing lunch at home. This convenience allows employees to focus more on work, leading to increased productivity and efficiency. ✅ Team Building and Collaboration 🤝: Eating together promotes team bonding and collaboration. When employees gather around a shared meal, it creates an opportunity for informal conversations and strengthens relationships. It breaks down barriers between different departments or hierarchies within the organization, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork. ✅Increased Morale and Employee Satisfaction 😊: Providing catered lunch demonstrates that the company values its employees' well-being. It shows that the organization is willing to invest in their comfort and enjoyment. This gesture can boost morale and create a positive work environment, leading to higher job satisfaction and employee retention. ✅ Recognition and Appreciation 🏆: Providing catered lunch is a tangible way for companies to show appreciation for their employees' hard work and dedication. It is a gesture that acknowledges their contributions and recognizes their value to the organization. Feeling valued and appreciated can boost employee motivation and loyalty. ✅ Increased Productivity 💼: When employees have access to a nutritious and satisfying meal during the workday, it can prevent the mid-afternoon energy slump. A well-fed team is more likely to maintain focus, sustain energy levels, and stay productive throughout the day. It can also reduce the temptation to indulge in unhealthy snacks or overeat during lunch, leading to better overall health and well-being. Catering lunch for your team offers numerous benefits, including convenience, team building, increased morale, health and wellness, increased engagement and creativity, recognition, and increased productivity. It is an investment in the well-being and satisfaction of your employees, which can ultimately contribute to the success of your organization. #LovingHandsCatering #BusinessCatering #WeddingCatering #PartyCatering #UnforgettableEvents #ExceptionalService

In the quest for better workplace culture, especially in our unique restaurant setting, we're embracing a simple yet impactful approach. We're not just talking about any office – we're bringing in the concept of office catering and regular corporate lunches. This initiative is more than just convenience; it’s a chance for team bonding and community building, particularly significant in the culinary world where shared meals are at the heart of our culture. But we don’t stop there. Recognizing the importance of team building, we’ve allocated a budget specifically for our sous chefs to shop and prepare the family meal. This not only enhances their skills but also fosters a sense of ownership and unity within our team. In addition to culinary activities, we're implementing flexible working hours, wellness programs, and virtual gatherings to combat burnout and boost productivity. This holistic approach ensures our restaurant not only serves great food but also cultivates a supportive and inclusive environment. Prioritizing work-life balance is crucial, making our team happier and our restaurant more attractive to potential talent. Remember, initiatives like these aren't just extras; they're essential for fostering a supportive, balanced environment where we can all do our best work. So, let’s commit to these changes and create a setting where every team member, from sous chefs to servers, feels supported and connected. It’s the perfect recipe for a happier, more productive team. #eventcatering #catering #cateringservices #officelunch #teambuilding #officelife #lunchtime #lunch #thaifood

Why a happy work environment is so important 😄 Work NA is one of the core pillars of our Employee Value Proposition (EVP). It recognises that sometimes it’s the little things that make the difference including having a fully stocked kitchen and an endless supply of refreshments. After all, a positive work culture isn’t just nice to have, it’s a necessity. 🙌 We achieve this by: 👉 Having a never-ending supply of tea and coffee If you’ve ever stopped by one of our offices you’ll know how much the team loves their hot drinks. Not to brag but we have really nice coffee and plenty of Yorkshire Tea (is there any other kind?). ☕ This simple gesture makes a big difference to the team’s morale and it’s never long before you hear someone saying ‘Does anyone want a drink?’ 😂 👉 Fancy a snack? Our kitchen is always fit to burst, and each of our meeting rooms has a selection of sweet treats - special mention to Estelle Parker who ensures our clients and team never go without! Whether it be fresh fruit, porridge, toast, or having one of our very own air fryer jacket potatoes or sausages sandwiches our offices have it. We recognise the difference small gestures can have - after all, no one wants to be hungry at work! 😋 👉 Our events calendar We always have a jam-packed events calendar with the day often ending with some drinks and lots of delicious food! Just look at our visit to Accountex last year which saw the team dine at Vero Moderno - if it’s good enough for Pep and Haaland then it’s good enough for #TeamNA right? 🍕 This year has also seen the introduction of our NA bake off which means the office is always full of cake on a Monday! Safe to say the team’s healthy eating starts after the final 😂 👀 Keep an eye out for next week's post about the team’s love of music! What are the little things you love about your workplace? 🤔 #workNA #accounting #accountants #teamappreciation #culturematters #valuesmatter #evp #workenvironment #positiveworkplace

As I approach the 9 month mark at Foodles UK (certified B Corp), I reflect back on an incredible journey so far. We’ve made massive strides in the UK, going from a startup in its infancy in England to now working with multiple 5 star hotels, and various companies across the sectors of asset management, banking, logistics, retail, food and motorsport. Other than these companies being in the same general geographic zone (within the M25, or up to 2 hours outside M25), the common thread has been that these companies place staff wellbeing and a world-class culture at the forefront of what they do. They see value in providing fresh chef-prepared meals everyday to their staff on-site. Many of these companies have staff that work late hours or weekends, and they want to be able to provide those employees with accessible fresh food 24-7; ensuring that their busy schedules or late hours is not a disadvantage. I’m excited that we seem to have found a really exciting gap in the market between traditional vending and traditional staff restaurants - and this seems to be resonating with our market. The fact that we can go from initial call to have a fully launched “next generation office canteen” setup in 4-6 weeks at a fraction of the cost of a traditional staff restaurant really excites me (literally a fraction), and seems to equally excite the HR Directors, Office Managers, Wellbeing Managers and Facilities Managers we engage with. If you are, or know anyone in these roles who are reviewing current office perks, refurbishing or moving offices, I’d be happy to talk them through what we do. This is only the beginning! (yes this is a real life pic of me opening one of our smart fridges with my phone in order to eat my favourite halloumi quinoa bowl 🥙 ) #foodtech #catering #facilities #vending #freshfood #sustainability
