Technology was supposed to make the entire world more accessible. It still can, but sometimes it seems that the progress has stalled. This past month, the MIT Technology Review magazine devoted an entire issue to exploring the future of tech-enabled accessibility and how it may soon be more "normal" than you think. For example, United Airlines announced they will be adding braille signage in cabins to help disabled travelers. Architects are working to create acoustically inclusive spaces designed for deaf people. Guggenheim Museum in Venice has reproductions of famous artworks so people can experience paintings and sculptures through touch. These types of accommodations can seem invisible if you aren't disabled or don't choose to pay attention to them. But feeling a tactile representation of a painting, like many other such accommodations, can offer an entirely new way to experience something for all of us ... whether we can actually see it or not. https://lnkd.in/gY3Q2UtR

Renderings are an essential tool for event industry professionals, but they don't always do justice to the finished product. This stage design for the SXSW Venue takeover looks great in the rendering, but trust me, the real-life experience is just beautiful. Art knows no bounds. Art, in its many forms, has continually evolved, shifting paradigms and challenging conventional norms. Frameless art represents a departure from the established standards that have framed (no pun intended) artistic expression for centuries. I'm hoping that Frameless deliver on the promise of an immersive experience, blurring the lines between the artwork and its surroundings. And not just a rework of the Hockney exhibition. What sets frameless art apart is not just the absence of a physical frame but the conceptual liberation it brings. I love CES As a nerd at heart, I love hearing about all of the new transparent screens, hifi audio, and the next wave of consumer tech. I love it from a sense of what’s coming in the future and not what to do today. If CES was business tech I would NEVER recommend anything from CES to my customers. Why? Because futuristic tech is almost never practical. It’s the shiny new thing that may help your business if you’re willing to try to figure it out. Every museum is always looking to incorporate creative, hands-on interactives that will engage visitors, make memories, and forge strong connections to the site's own mission and identity. These interactive elements need to be both informative and fun, balancing entertainment value with actual enrichment. Too many exhibits rely on touchscreens to be fun without bringing the energy in other ways. When we're brainstorming interactive ideas with a client, we start by considering what makes the site, the message, and the exhibit unique. Then dovetail that with the design of the space and target audience — and bring the excitement!
