We are very proud to deliver our second Ready-to-Build pv project to our customer Solgrid. In total, our team in Helios have by now delivered approximately 170 MWp of new pv solar capacity that will soon contribute to the Swedish electricity supply. 🌞 Another Step Towards #Sustainability and #Energy #Independence 🌞 Aiming for green energy independence, the VMG Group has equipped the roofs of its major factories with solar modules in recent years. To date, the entire solar power infrastructure generates over 6530 MWh of electricity per year. The recently completed solar power plant project on the roof of "Klaipėdos mediena," valued at €2.2 million and a capacity of 3.23 MW, stands as one of the largest of its kind in Lithuania. It will fulfill 13–16% of the yearly electricity requirements for the "Klaipėdos mediena" factory, which operates 24/7. But that's not all. This year, the VMG Group is embarking on another green energy initiative! ORC technology will enable the production of electricity from production by-products—specifically wood dust—generating an additional 7,3 GWh of electricity annually. This will meet as much as 50% of the yearly electricity consumption needs of the continuously operating factory! #greenenergy #solarenergy #ORC

VERTICAL SOLAR SYSTEM TO BE INSTALLED AT FLOATING PV PROJECT IN BAVARIA German startup SINN Power has unveiled plans to build the world's first floating photovoltaic system with solar modules installed vertically, overcoming the challenges posed by Germany's strict regulations on floating solar projects. The 1.8 MW project, set to be constructed on a lake at a gravel pit in Gilching, Bavaria, has secured strong support from local authorities. SINN Power's innovative approach utilises its patented "Floating-SKipp" mounting systems to arrange the nearly 2,500 solar modules in an east-west orientation, with a distance of 3.9 metres between rows. This vertical installation significantly reduces the utilised surface area, allowing more modules to be installed without exceeding the 15% coverage limit stipulated by Germany's Renewable Energy Act. With the advancement of PV module technology, N-type technology is rapidly expanding and will, in time, fully occupy the module market. With almost the same price per watt as P-type, it is logical to invest early in the said technology. And with bi-facial N-type modules, the added power gain in the back of the panel means that your higher investment in the N-type will be reflected in the annual savings of your solar generating facility. Some might say the 1% to 2% module efficiency increase of N-type compared to P-type is not worth buying, but again, we should be looking at the bigger picture and look at annual production and savings. #solarpanel #jasolar #ntype #baywa #module

#Wuppermann Group commissioned a new #photovoltaic plant at its headquarters in Leverkusen, Germany, in October 2023. The nominal output of the plant is 82 kWp and will also supply the site in Leverkusen with renewable electricity from solar energy. #Wuppermann Group now produces renewable electricity from #photovoltaic systems at all production sites as well as at its headquarters. The group-wide installed nominal output is more than 4,700 kWp. #steel #sustainability
