We are excited to share our progress on the IZOLA Bakery Main Dough Factory and Eatery, which is coming to the City Heights neighborhood! An existing single-story prefab metal building will be transformed and combined with a new metal building addition to craft an 11,129-square-foot headquarters for Izola Bakery. The new facilities will house the production of artisan sourdough and croissants, public dining spaces, eatery, retail, training offices, and more. The project has implemented key sustainable features such as zero emissions operations, passive cooling, strategic daylight control, rainwater harvesting, and a lower carbon footprint by utilizing the existing building in conjunction with efficient prefabricated building systems. The project aims to provide over 170 jobs for the City Heights neighborhood and is poised to become a catalyst for economic and cultural development in the community. . . .
