In honor of National Reunification Month celebrated in June, Heart of Missouri CASA celebrates volunteers and service providers who work hard to identify family strengths to reunite separated families. We know children do best when they can safely remain with their parents or with other family members. Have interest in being a CASA volunteer? Join our online info session next Tuesday, July 2, at 12pm. https://lnkd.in/efMANK2P #NationalReunificationMonth #ChangeAChildsStory

Part 3: If you want to conquer a people, raise their children Investigation link: https://lnkd.in/ey8i2taa In the third part of our research, we delve into a brutal story of power, influence, and the unimaginable. Our team, including Nicoleta Banila, Vyacheslav Kolomets, Vasile Popa, Deniz M. Dirisu and Gijs Freriks, uncovered the individuals and entities responsible for forcibly relocating children from occupied areas to Russia. The investigation sheds light on the complex web created behind closed doors and reveals the terrifying journey taken by helpless individuals who were forcibly transferred from occupied areas to Russia. With over 380 children forcibly removed from their homes in Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson, and Mariupol for adoption and guardianship, the severity of this crisis becomes painfully clear. As we learn about the communities and people stepping up to provide care and support for these kids, the resiliency of the human spirit emerges. Join us as we raise awareness of this horrific situation and fight for the rights of these displaced children. Together, we can change things. #ChildrensRights #InvestigativeResearch #HumanitarianEfforts

On this 🌏 #DayofFamilies, we call for investments in social and #childprotection systems that strengthen families and their ability to care for their children. 'We must all do our part. The partnership of governments, civil society organizations, and individuals is a driver to create a world where every child grows up in a nurturing family environment, ensuring their rights are safeguarded, and their futures are filled with promise and opportunity,' says Dr. Dereje Wordofa, President of SOS Children's Villages International.
