I’m very proud and thrilled that Accenture has been named a winner of a 2024 CSO Award from Foundry’s CSO for our Advanced Attack Surface Management (ASM) program! Organizations are under constant cyber-attack at their surfaces for vulnerabilities. At Accenture, we enhanced our core defenses by building extensive new ASM detection and response capabilities. Our resulting Advanced ASM program combines all these components to create a comprehensive defense of several layers of detections and does it at speed. Our team harvested vendor products and organized them into a well-designed framework. They also established a custom ASM platform, consolidated processes, and added threat hunting. They expanded the types of “foundational” scanning, tools, and technologies and develop custom scans and tools, including 50 custom detection capabilities to date. At the same time, they actively manage external reputation and enhance security controls. We’ve moved to a more proactive stance, staying ahead of emerging risks with a distinctive capability. Today, this robust program strengthens Accenture’s surface defenses and overall resiliency and security posture. The SEC’s new cybersecurity disclosure rules are going to require organizational leaders to be more prudent than ever before when it comes to governance and accountability measures. A proactive approach is, therefore, highly desirable from a risk management perspective.
