Great NYC #nytechweek session at Hearst on #GenAI led by Darcy Frisch. Some key points about shifting media consumption. Search is shifting and changing (13 million in US now starting at ChatGPT?). How does the ad model work when you never leave Google / Bing? Scott Bounds from Microsoft - Great point on the two tracks customers do out of ideation sessions - first automation then to augmentation Over 25 years at Microsoft, this is the faster moving tech he has seen. Mahendra Durai from Hearst - depth and breadth of Hearst’s exploration of Gen AI - when looking at product considering enabling versus product differentiating Francesco Marconi from AppliedXL discussing scaling of newsroom processes using gen ai and the significance of handling hallucinations in that context (RAG the primary suggestion) Maybe a micro-royalty model will solve the publisher/search problem? And Dao Nguyen offering not just great examples of the importance and value of creative people in the process (plus testing and guardrails) but also this brilliant app: https://lnkd.in/erMRKZUC If you’re interested in how to explore and integrate Gen AI into your organization, come talk to us at Clearly Partners.
