🍰 Earlier this week, Delish's very own Food Director Robert Seixas and Executive Content Editor Carissa Tozzi judged two teams in an epic 4th of July-themed showdown on the latest episode of Food Stars on Fox Corporation. “The drama is 100% real. The emotions are real; there was no acting, and all the scenes are filmed in one take—no do-overs,” Rob says. Catch the replay of the episode here: https://lnkd.in/ed4J-TJJ #FoodStars

Whether action, horror, comedy, thriller or drama these scenes offer a moment to really delve into a character's journey...and vulnerability. Storytelling gold. There can be a tendency to steamroll through intimacy scenes without taking the time to really ask what the scene reveals or progresses in the story. When the characters are often at their most vulnerable moment, their most exposed or their most desperate for connection. ICs join the conversation and start with the vision and requests from directors. What is that they would love to see, or not see, need to reveal or have envisaged, texture, pace, rhythm as it fits in to the rest of the story? Era, style, costuming, character, contrasts, props, location, vfx, stunts all considered and feeds into the discussion. Hand-held, single, multi-cam? Matched with all the actors' thoughts, ideas and feelings - it's a rich landscape to mine and discover. Unique to every team. And the simplest of gestures often reveal the deepest of connections. These conversations and rehearsals don't just build a story...they build the trust that builds the chemistry too. Prep well, shoot well!

"Why is she sharing a clip to something on Netflix?" I hear you ask. Aside from the fact that School of Chocolate is a fantastic watch and has been a big hit in my household, gripping young imaginations, it's this line 26 seconds in that has been reverberating in my mind for the last 24 hours: "What he's asking us to do, is to stop thinking the way we have been, and try something new". In the first episode world-renowned chocolatier, Amaury Guichon, is demonstrating an example of his illusion-based work, where he has made a lemon pie but the lemon pie is in the form of an HB pencil. As if that isn't creative enough, he picks the lemon-pie-pencil up and writes with it. He describes the challenge as being how to craft something without using any pre-made mould. He then describes his approach as a state of mind. If I want to do something, and I can't do it the typical way, how do I do it? I loved this. So going into 2024, I'm inviting you to approach what you're doing in a similar way: If I want to do something, and I'm not allowing myself to it it the typical way, how do I do it? I think this is what they call, innovation.

A massive cast makes up Netflix’s upcoming historical comedy Unfrosted, Jerry Seinfeld’s directorial debut about warring cereal rivals in the 1960s. The trailer above teases Kellogg’s and Post going up against each other to try to create the ultimate breakfast pastry, and pretty much everyone we see on screen is a big name. Alongside Seinfeld (who also co-wrote the movie), Melissa McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Hugh Grant, Amy Schumer, Max Greenfield, Christian Slater, Bill Burr, Daniel Levy, James Marsden, Jack McBrayer, Thomas Lennon, Bobby Moynihan, Adrian Martinez, Sarah Cooper, and Fred Armisen star. How to watch: Unfrosted is streaming on Netflix from May 3. var facebookPixelLoaded = false; window.addEventListener('load', function(){ document.addEventListener('scroll', facebookPixelScript); document.addEventListener('mousemove', facebookPixelScript); }) function facebookPixelScript() { if (!facebookPixelLoaded) { facebookPixelLoaded = true; document.removeEventListener('scroll', facebookPixelScript); document.removeEventListener('mousemove', facebookPixelScript); !function(f,b,e,v,n,t,s){if(f.fbq)return;n=f.fbq=function(){n.callMethod? n.callMethod.apply(n,arguments):n.queue.push(arguments)};if(!f._fbq)f._fbq=n; n.push=n;n.loaded=!0;n.version='2.0';n.queue=[];t=b.createElement(e);t.async=!0; t.src=v;s=b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0];s.parentNode.insertBefore(t,s)}(window, document,'script','//https://lnkd.in/eY9zQvVb'); fbq('init', '1453039084979896'); fbq('track', "PageView"); } } Source link By Nakisisa George
