Essential to fostering lasting impact, however, is implementing the necessary guardrails to effectively manage the risks inherent in these tools. From scaling outbreak preparedness to accelerating R&D, the ways in which gen AI can improve how services are delivered across the public health sector—with technology at the core—are vast. By identifying risks and innovating strategies to address them, public health organizations can ultimately harness gen AI for the highest-impact use cases while also ensuring they have the requisite talent and capabilities in place to do so effectively. Government agencies, multilateral organizations, and nonprofits alike have an instrumental role to play in advancing equity across our global healthcare system. The session highlighted the incredible potential AI holds in revolutionizing patient care, streamlining operations, and advancing medical research. Key takeaways include: Predictive Analytics: How AI can predict patient outcomes and prevent diseases before they occur. Personalized Medicine: Utilizing AI to tailor treatments based on individual patient data. Operational Efficiency: Enhancing hospital operations through AI-driven resource management. Thrilled to share our new #4CE paper on The Lancet eClinicalMedicine   📚 Title: "Characterization of long COVID temporal sub-phenotypes by distributed representation learning from electronic health record data"   We developed precise definitions for seven Long COVID problems using an innovative approach that integrates 🤖 Artificial Intelligence with 👩⚕️ Clinical Expertise. The AI Humans alliance allowed us to create augmented definitions for Long COVID, shedding light on the condition's various subtypes. 🌟 Key Findings: 1️⃣ Precise Definitions: We've refined our understanding of the Long COVID problems, enabling healthcare providers to diagnose and treat patients more accurately. 2️⃣ AI Physician Collaboration: The synergy between AI and medical expertise has paved the way for a more comprehensive understanding of Long COVID, offering hope to millions worldwide. 3️⃣ Prevalence Estimates: For the first time, we present empirical estimates on the prevalence of Long COVID-19 by subtype. Our estimates suggest that Long COVID is likely less prevalent than what we conventionally think, but it is still an important problem for those who are suffering.  #LongCOVID #AIinmedicine #InternationalConsortiumStudy #electronicmedicalrecords
