Eckert was a member of the Board of Trustees, former Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of History at St. Bonaventure University. Whether one takes a look back at HISTORY or TODAY --- each of our respective states are evolving. Some would say 'Blue' (Democrat) states are getting more blue and 'Red' (Republican) states are getting more red. Some would say the RESULTS are GOOD. Others --- BAD. For many years I have found those 'Measuring Sticks' too relative. Too squishy. Perhaps a better measure would be RIGHT or WRONG? Take my own state of Illinois. How have RESULTS been the last 10 years for Illinois residents/taxpayers? More SPECIFICALLY, pick 10 quality of life/economic benchmarks. Compare them to other states.
