A new week, and a new awareness week – World Continence Week 2024. Why would this interest us at Combat Medical? I raised a question in an online CLL support group ( overseen by a CLL specialist) what are the criteria for a treatment decision when it comes to combination therapies? OV, IV, threefold therapy.. studies were done, OV is widely used as well as monotherapy, IV (in Europe) Which patient cohort benefits most from which therapy? Are decisive factors latent viral activation, the amount of the tumor load, lymphnode involvement ? How well is the immunesystem watched before, during and after treatment?

Despite the association between chronic inflammation and tumorigenesis being widely investigated, the association between AS and the risk of cancer is unclear and variable. To help address this, Kagan, et al. assessed the risks of overall and site-specific malignancies in Israeli patients with AS, compared with the general population, and investigated risk factors for malignancy in AS patients.
