20 Years Navigating Aged Care Recruitment: Success Through Strong Relationships...
The most important thing has and is relationships - so many beautiful people working in (or wanting to get into) aged care have come into my life over those 20 years.
Those relationships make such a difference in finding the right people who are the best fit for the jobs we fill.
It’s hit me that we’ve created a ‘maze of networks’, my business and team. What’s magic is that it wasn’t intentional, it’s something I enjoy and am passionate about. In fact, P.J. Recruitment and Executive Search does this astonishingly well. 😊
I never feel lost in that ‘maze of networks’ and relationships in the aged care sector, in fact it sustains me.
I am grateful for:
😍 Candidates – ones I’ve places, some have become clients, then candidates again and some I’ve placed in jobs 3 times in the last 20 years
😊 Bridesmaids and runners up candidates – ones who didn’t get the job they really wanted. Some of those people continue to bounce back into my life and I love those relationships too.
🤗 Aged Care Consultants – small, medium and large guys. Love my relationships with these people – so smart, supportive, helpful and respectful.
😊 Relationships I have with my team. We work hard on our vibrant culture, it’s part of our strategy and we work with intent on this.
🤗 Clients – without them I wouldn’t still be doing what I do.
😆 Aged Care Associations – past and present – they've been amazing too, they have been clients, contacts, networks and we all cross-refer.
🤗 Anyone else I have a relationship with, thank you.
What makes me a better recruiter and business owner is that these relationships are fostered with mutual respect. Not fostered to make money necessarily, but to ensure the aged care industry continues to improve.
We find the best talent in the sector.
