Suggested Read: Excellent article dissecting the power of street medicine to combat poor health outcomes in homeless women and their infants/children. With astronomical rises in local drug use, crime, and garbage all-over the State of California, it's important that we get to the crux of the causes while also celebrating impactful wins that embrace primary, secondary and tertiary prevention all in one. We may look toward street medicine as a new category of care, as it's pretty robust! Can even tackle overwhelmed high acuity care-settings as well.

Watch today's 1:30 pm legislative hearing on #LR154, an interim study on maternal care deserts in #Nebraska. A care desert is defined as any county without a hospital or birthing center offering obstetric care and without any obstetric providers. At 51.6%, Nebraska significantly exceeds the national average of 32.6%. And, the number of Nebraska women who travel more than 30 minutes for care is much higher than in Wyoming, Iowa, Kansas and Colorado. #MaternalHealth #NEleg https://lnkd.in/ecNtuQjE
