To be able to make the right choice of treatment, we need to collect all the available diagnostic information on the patient and her tumor.    Algorithms are then applied to identify all possible treatment options.    The result is a complete and fully substantiated recommendation based on all the available data relevant to this patient.    The attending physician can now determine the best treatment together with the patient and her partner.    By sharing data and knowledge, we are building a learning healthcare system. For this project, our team conducted a multi-phase research study consisting of an online survey with current patients, in-depth interviews with patients at competitor facilities, and in-depth interviews with physicians who refer some of their cancer patients to the client’s cancer institute and treatment facility. The research findings provided insights into perceptions surrounding the facility and provided insights into methods that would encourage physician referral and patient self-referral to the client’s facility. Today, on #WorldCancerDay, marked under the theme 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝗮𝗽, we want to spread awareness around the challenges and barriers faced in the implementation of #PrecisionMedicine in cancer clinical practice that exist across the continuum of the patient pathway and different stakeholder groups. We believe that overcoming them requires a collaborative, solution-driven approach that encompasses all stakeholders involved in the patient journey. Healthcare providers, researchers, policymakers, regulators, payers, industry representatives, and patient communities must work together to co-create innovative solutions and ensure equitable access to this transformative approach to #CancerCare. This initiative aims to establish a standard definition of #patienttolerability in multiple solid and liquid tumor cancers, focusing on patient-reported outcomes that reflect real-world experiences and preferences. This study also aspires to develop guidelines on how to use this data to inform #clinicaltrial design, provider and patient decision-making, and more.
