Did you know? Over 54.7 million consumers are currently interested in in-home health technology for aging in place, a number that is expected to grow by 50.6% in the next 1-2 years! This technology is key to helping older adults maintain their independence and stay safe in their homes as they age. As Rodney Harrell, PhD, Vice President of Family, Home, and Community at AARP, explains, "It's really important that we understand what people's housing preferences are, what they want, what they need, and how well their options are meeting their needs." Integrating smart technologies into homes plays a vital role in meeting these needs, supporting older adults to live independently while addressing their health and safety concerns. The growing demand for in-home health tech highlights the importance of designing innovative solutions that empower older adults to age in place with dignity. The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) launched a call for evidence in March 2021 to inform the first-ever government-led Women’s Health Strategy for England. A survey was conducted. In April 2022, the 'Women's Health - Let's Talk About It' results were released. Prepare to be shocked. Around 100,000 people got in touch to share their views. Here is just one point that came out of that survey. ❗ ❗ Just 2 in 5 respondents said they, or the woman they had in mind, can conveniently access the services they need regarding location (40%), and around 1 in 4 said the same regarding timing (24%) ❗ ❗ Of those who said a health condition or disability had impacted their experience in the workplace (62%): ❗ 26% said it impacted their earnings ❗ 25% said it affected their opportunities for promotion ❗ 22% said it meant they stopped work earlier than they had planned HealthMary changes that. Register, enter the service you're looking for, and find the healthcare provider you need in your local area to access the help you need quickly. #womenshealthmatters #genderequality #genderpaygap #womenshealth

Being ever more concerned about Aged Care and its upcoming challenges, I recalled an article (link below) that I felt was worth re-reading. Both NZ and AU are very active in addressing so many issues right now (kudos to them). With New Zealand's aging population creating a crisis in aged care, an assessment app can alleviate the strain by expediting evaluations. This technology streamlines processes, reducing time and costs, ensuring efficient allocation of resources, and enhancing care quality. It offers a practical solution to overcome staffing shortages and financial challenges, promoting sustainable care for specialized needs like dementia. The app aligns with recent government measures to address workforce issues, contributing to the overall improvement of the aged care sector and ensuring the well-being of New Zealand's growing elderly population. Our HaiTrack app. can accomplish this. Please feel free to contact me privately. https://lnkd.in/eC5_NpP9 #AgedCareSolutions #ElderlyWellBeing #TechInnovation #AgingPopulation #CaregivingChallenges #StaffingShortages #HealthcareTechnology #ElderCareRevolution #AgedCareReform #HaiTrack
