Resiliency can be taught. It is a choice to employ life skills each and every day, and mastering resiliency requires practice and commitment. Who is teaching your middle schooler, teen, or college student how to live their best lives? In general, resiliency is the capacity to successfully adapt to crisis, stressors, and adversarial conditions. Adversity is ever-present, and it is necessary for individuals to choose to build protective attitudes and behaviors in order for risk to be reduced. The goal of resiliency training is to increase prosocial, constructive behaviors, and ideation. Rather than focusing program efforts on negative pathologies, our program design focuses on building 31 developmental strengths. Both external and internal factors are encouraged and supported. Students learn that choices matter. How about booking a community presentation for your PTA, YMCA, or Greek life advisory board? I am ready to help. Are you ready to see real change in the life of young folks? Let’s do it!

In all of our Breakthrough Recovery Chorley Group meetings we pay particular attention to 'Group Dynamics' 'Positive' group dynamics allows communication between group members, progress toward achievement of the goals of the group, and group care-taking. However 'Negative' group dynamics are manifest in group think and evaluation apprehension. We encourage everyone to 'open up', talk about themselves, what's going on in their lives and in doing so, individuals can become extremely emotional. At this point we discourage 'Rescuing'.... Rescuing people from natural consequences, might delay them from learning a valuable lesson. People learn from their mistakes and if they aren't allowed to make any, they might not learn critical problem-solving skills. Allowing people to experience what they need to do is a beautiful way, for them, to have an opportunity to learn 🙌🙏 #BreakthroughRecoveryChorleyGroup #addictionrecovery #recoverysupport #recoveryispossible #ChorleyFC #CFCHelpingTheCommunity #ChorleyCommunityFoondation #NHSCommunityRootsLSCft #PrestonNorthEndFC #PublicHealthEngland #SupportedByLancashireCountyCouncil #SupportedByChorleyCouncil #SupportedByBric #lancasteruniversity #UCLAN #LancashireRecoveryCommunity #PrestonWellfest
