We asked Anita Downs, one of our dedicated administrative assistants, three questions to get to know her a bit better. She has worked in the medical field for 15 years -- four of those years, she worked in a psychiatric residential treatment facility for children, teenagers, and young adults. Anita is currently a volunteer EMT/firefighter for the Norwich EMS/Fire Department. What prompted you to become a first responder?   I live in a very small community; I saw the need and decided to jump in and help.   What’s something few people know about you?  I am a pretty open book, so that is a hard one, honestly…I like cinnamon in my ground coffee.     How do you use your talents at empac?  I guess I stay pretty calm under pressure, and I don’t get frustrated very easily. This survey is a crucial step toward comprehending the specific needs of the community and directing our efforts effectively. 🏥 Access to healthcare, mental health support, addiction treatment programs, injury and snakebite clinics, with improved roads and transportation to nearby hospitals are some of the projects on our radar.
