Evaluation of Passive Design Philosophies - Snapshot Survey images we took of a Sports Hall that was completed 12 months ago. Summer period, 09:00, 17 degree ambient. Some good results, some not so good. We originally integrated a number of passive measures into the design of a collaborative architect. Unfortunately a number of them were value-engineered out during the construction phase, delivering a lesser outcome for the Client. One day someone needs to explain to me what value-engineering actually means and where the 'value' is in cutting an integrated design (only to over-run at the construction stage..........)
