The future of flight is sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). That's why we are investing with United Airlines in the United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund, a new initiative to help decarbonize air travel by accelerating research, production and technologies associated with SAF.
Carbon emissions and air travel might seem inseparable, but United Airlines knows that cleaner flights are achievable — in part because we know the solution, and we know one company can’t get there alone. Five months ago, we launched the United Airlines Ventures Sustainable Flight Fund and to date, we have raised nearly $200 million. Today we welcome eight new corporate partners: American Express Global Business Travel, Aramco Ventures, Aviation Capital Group (ACG), Bank of America, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Groupe ADP, Hawaiian Airlines and JetBlue Ventures. These companies will help us decarbonize the aviation industry by investing in start-ups focused on increasing the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
