Housing starts fall 5.5% in May, a 4 year low. Building Permits, an estimate of future starts also fell 3.8%. Not what the housing market needs, but not a shock in the least. Rates and prices are both high, which means buyers are starting to back out of the market and it's too expensive for homebuilders to start the process. This may be the quickest but most hurtful way to get inflation back down to a 2% level. Still time for a Nationwide "overhaul" of sorts of our housing market. More inventory, lower rates. #goodluckhavefunyall #housingmarket
