We're almost ready to launch our new Oddit website, which will introduce a fresh product line and pricing strategy. This exercise has been enlightening, and has only cemented the importance of what we preach - outside fresh perspectives, even for a team that does this day in and day out. Having optimized customer experiences for over 10,000 brands, we faced a unique challenge in reimagining our own site and product strategy - this problem is the reason we started Oddit- it's nearly impossible for brand teams, and other key stakeholders to experience their customer journey from a newcomers perspective. You have too much information, it's your baby, you've been there since day 1. After banging our heads against the wall for several months(and throwing lots of mud at it), we followed what we try and motivate brands to do by hiring Oddit, and we brought in external minds to help validate ideas, poke holes, and uncover missed opportunities. Their unbiased views were crucial, offering fresh insights and challenging our assumptions. This experience only validated our WHY: no matter the size of your company or how experienced your core team or agencies are - the value of bringing in fresh eyes alongside internal expertise is highly underrated. Whether you decide to hire Oddit, or any other talented team in our industry, I highly recommend getting a fresh perspective, sooner than later. In the last two years at Hyqoo, the topic of safety and security was hardly a discussion point. The journey we have had so far in terms of finalizing our "Head of Design" had more twists and turns than a Hindi Soap Opera and trust me when I say this we sifted through more resumes and had more video calls and in-person meetings than you might have experienced while finalizing your marriage. We reached out to candidates from every company you can think of, but is it about their skills not aligning? Maybe not. Is it their work? Definitely not. Is it their approach? Not always. One thing our team has been looking out for was - someone in leadership with hands-on approach- someone who could break down things into smaller pieces, work with ease and yet be humble and grounded. And, no voila! Several months later, we found him. Welcome onboard Sunit Sharma. 😁 Sunit Sharma has been part of the Design and Product ecosystem for the last 16 years.
