Getting emotional after sessions or something that I personally felt, and there are many reasons behind it. It can be sometimes our personal triggers or personal concerns as well, but it can be just a human reaction to someone struggling. I addressed this in my supervision and I feel it’s more about the perspective and how we feel about it. I think having that space for myself in supervision and therapy. I was able to understand what my reaction genuinely meant, and I think that should be the way to go about it, rather than just labelling that it’s humanly, we should explore it and see if it is truly that or am I looking at the surface level? How To Find A Therapist We don’t always mesh with the first person we meet. Give it about 3 sessions before deciding whether or not this therapist is for you, while also owning what you are and aren’t bringing to the situation. Are your expectations too high? Are you being completely honest? Are you ready to do the work? A therapist that will do good work with you is one that you feel you can trust and be vulnerable with, or come to be able to in time. #mentalhealth #therapy #therapist
