Globally, around 12 billion days will be lost to depression and anxiety each year by 2030. So, what are companies doing to prioritize a culture of psychological safety and provide comprehensive mental health support? During Hacking HR June's series sessions, which focused on employee experience as the ultimate competitive advantage, several expert panelists shared their insights. One of the strategies they mentioned was implementing SMART Action Plans to support employee mental health in the workplace: 1️⃣ Specific: Conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to understand your employees' mental health priorities. 2️⃣ Measurable: Develop KPIs to track the success of your initiatives. 3️⃣ Achievable: Secure leadership commitment for a top-down approach. Relevant: Integrate mental health support into workplace policies. 4️⃣ Time-bound: Implement initiatives in phases for smooth and effective rollouts. ⭐Check out our blog and explore all our content about employee experience 👉https://bit.ly/4b1yQQL #MentalHealth #EmployeeWellbeing #SMARTGoals #WorkplaceCulture #HackingHR

Identify and tackle problems Utilize routine management tools to address and resolve any identified problems or needs within the workplace. Incorporate scheduled work meetings, appraisals, or informal discussions to gain insight into employees' challenges. Consider making health and safety a regular agenda item during meetings to address issues like display screen equipment assessments that could impact stress or mental health. Remember, it's crucial to safeguard employees from mental health and stress-related risks just as diligently as other health and safety concerns. #WorkplaceSafety #EmployeeWellness.

As a company, we value the wellness of our employees by allowing them to have weekends off as much as possible. From time to time, we make sure that each employee gets enough opportunity to unplug, take breaks, and prioritize their mental health without compromising deliverables from our clients. Working smart as a team means giving each other space to deliver work and space to take care of our wellbeing. A healthy 'personal firewall' ensures a smooth and secure operation in both the digital and human realms. #MakeITQADworks #ReimaginingDigitalTransformation #DigitalTransformation #FutureForward #TechConsultancy #ReimagineIT

Toxic workplaces are causing psychological damage. The statistics are damning. More people have experienced a toxic workplace than not (at 75%), and 61% of employees have resigned due to culture issues. Psychological Safety is one of the most important, yet least understood, factors in business health - including employee retention. Want to do something about it? The first cohort of the Level 1 foundational course in Psychological Safety is on the 30th September. Comment YES below (or DM us) and we’ll send you more details about the course!
Toxic workplaces are causing psychological damage. I’m not pointing this out for shock factor. I’m pointing this out because it’s true. The statistics are damning. More people have experienced a toxic workplace than not (at 75%), and 61% of employees have resigned due to culture issues. Psychological Safety is one of the most important, yet least understood, factors in business health - including employee retention. If you haven’t been introduced to the term yet, it simply means having the confidence & comfort to express your Authentic Self. It’s the room to engage and interact openly with others, so individuals & teams can thrive - EVEN in challenging situations. It is not needing to hide your disability, or neurodiversity, or sexuality, or religion, or background for fear of bullying or isolation. It’s also not needing to hide your ideas for fear of being laughed at. --- If these statistics break your heart like they do mine, and you want to protect people from toxic work stories (maybe you’ve suffered as a result), I’m your woman. The first cohort of the Level 1 foundational course in Psychological Safety is on the 30th September. It’ll help you become the safeguard you needed. I will not stop banging on about it, because there are more people suffering from toxic workplaces with poor Psychological Safety than not. It’s time we do something about it.
