We had a fantastic first Lunch @ Lunch with Pauras Rege, CA, MInstD yesterday, who had inspiring words of wisdom on leadership, governance and career development. 📌Work harder and smarter. There will always be room for improvement and there will always be someone else in the game. 📌Time is your biggest asset. Put in the extra hours and use your resources effectively to conquer your goals. 📌Have a Vision and plan ahead. Reaching your goals is hardly ever a linear road. Having a plan will guide you. 📌Trust is important. Many important decisions are at high stake when business is involved, surrounding yourself with people you trust helps to make the road to success easier when you know someone has your back. 📌Failure is not a bad thing! Instead of "Failure", think "Feedback". Feedback sparks more positive feelings and emotions, enabling us to think "What can I do about it?" "How can I improve?". Thank you for all those who turned out! If you weren't able to make it, keep your eyes out for the opportunity next year or come along to our End of Year Social Drinks on Thurs 23 Nov at Coops Corner Pub where Pauras will be joining us to celebrate 2023! Head to Eventbrite to RSVP now! https://lnkd.in/gPfVXKvZ

Today was a good day. The picture below was taken this afternoon during a long overdue day of fellowship with my direct leaders (and Chris Barron, RACR) and the three incredible leaders standing beside me in this photo are my dream team. My squad. My secret weapons. Rayshawn Marshman, RACR is a powerhouse when it comes to team engagement. There is no other leader that I have known to engage their team the way that Rayshawn engages his. It is admirable and something I love to watch. Josh Huerth, you are the peacemaker, the bridge builder, and our "always look on the bright side" warrior. We wouldn't be where we are today without your ability to navigate change and facilitate transition. Ryan Khan, you are my newest direct leader and yet, you hold us accountable, you keep us on our toes, and you always ensure we are doing the right thing. You are invaluable to this team, and I know I speak for all of us when I share how grateful we are to have you. Trey Bales, not in this picture, is our leader who oversees our Augusta team. Trey and his team have had to pivot and shift more times than I can count and have been asked to navigate significant change in the past year. Even with all of the changes, Trey has demonstrated grace and commitment in his response to the transition and consistently provides an incredible amount of support for his team in the process. You rock, Trey. Wellstar and our team are lucky to have you. We've been through so much together over the past few years – navigating challenges, adapting to changes, and celebrating successes. Through it all, we have leaned on each other, good days and bad, and I cannot think of anyone else that I would want to be with me, at the helm of this wild journey that is #talentacquisition. They are not perfect, and I surely am not perfect; but together we push each other to be better, we lift each other up when the load gets a bit too heavy, and we are unwavering. Thank you to each of you for your leadership. You and your teams are the why behind my #joy at Wellstar, and I cannot wait to celebrate all of the #bold playbook changes we have planned in the year to come. WE ARE WELLSTAR TA! #leadership #boldchangemakers #innovation #committmenttoexcellence #talentacquisition #wellstar #unwavering #joy

Servant leader focused on bringing the most value, building the best teams, and forging the greatest character | Managing Director at ATX Acquisitions / CEO at ResProp / Partner at Rex.
This week, we celebrate Jordon Gofourth’s 5 year anniversary with our team. I’ve said this before, but we’ve nicknamed Jordon the “Midas Man” because everything he touches turns to gold. Working with JG = makes you tap dance to work (to borrow Warren Buffet’s phrase). Why? 💥 Jordon OWNS everything in his court. It’s so freeing to work with someone who just gobbles up problems, because you KNOW they won’t stop until things are solved. That allows you to move on to other high leverage activities. 💥 Jordon is a world class mentor and developer of talent. I’ve rarely seen anyone else in my 20-year career get such consistently positive feedback from their direct subordinates. Anyone who is served by JG down the org chart always wants more of it, and they fight to stay with him if they ever get moved out of his chain of command. This speaks for itself. 💥 He’s the rare breed with off-the-charts interpersonal skills / emotional intelligence, balanced by a quantitative, financial and data-driven view of operations. Most have dominant strength in one or the other; JG has both. 💥 JG is also comfortable on the tactical, operational and strategic levels. Again, this is rare–most people can either play well down in the weeds (tactical) or on high-level visionary thinking / execution (strategic). Jordon, it’s been amazing to have you as a key leader on our team these last 5 years, and here’s hoping we remain partnered for another 50. Gofourth and multiply!! #leadership #realestate #team

During a week when so many focus on gratitude at home, how can we effectively bring gratitude into the workplace? 🙏 There is research (see post below👇) that highlights the connection between gratitude and performance, between giving thanks and building rapport with key stakeholders. 💡As an individual contributor, how can you express #gratitude to those around you to establish #trust in your working relationships? 💡As a leaders, how can you regularly recognise others’ contributions to increase #engagement? 💡As a manager, how might you use positive #feedback to boost your team’s #performance?
As people reflect on what they're thankful for this time of year, let's not overlook the power of #gratitude and appreciation among our colleagues, team members, and leaders. At Bravanti, we wish you a holiday season filled with gratitude! #IgnitingBoldFutures #ExecutiveCoaching #CareerTransition #LeadershipAcceleration #LeadershipDevelopment

I used to only celebrate the big wins. I couldn't have been more wrong. 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗜 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁: 1. Deals closing 2. People surpassing quota 3. Promotions Completely brushed over the other great things that happened to my team. 𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗜 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬 𝘄𝗶𝗻- Celebrations help people feel: 1. Recognized and appreciated 2. It boosts morale and motivation 3. It recognizes achievements 4. It fosters a positive culture that can be contagious within a team Moreover, these celebrations provide an excellent opportunity to reinforce core values and behaviors that drive success. So let's make the most of every single victory – no matter how small. Start celebrating that sh*t!

NEW LEGGETT LEADERSHIP CARD!! 💡 Happy Friday! Ever experienced this? Here’s what to do ⤵️ You finally get an invitation to the conversation you feel is critical, only to realize that although you are physically in the room, no one is actually asking what you think. Instead people in power positions are saying things like, “So I think we should do this because of _____. Makes sense right?” And then they proceed to keep talking without pause. This is a sign that you are serving the role of a passive supporter. For some reason someone wants your support but they don’t really want you to disagree with them. Rather, things appear as if you agree and have participated in the conversation, but not actively. Here are some sentence starters to interrupt this habit (professionally): 💡 “Can we pause there? I would like to share something.” 💡”I think I understand where you’re coming from and I would like us to also consider ____”. 💡”I am grateful you included me in this conversation because I believe ___”. Stick to your main points and be consistent so they hear you. Feel confident with acknowledging disagreement. Conversations shouldn’t be about who “gets their way”, or winning. We can disagree and still problem solve. Let me know how these work for you !

CEO, inFirst Consulting | Moneyball Leadership™ & Sales Programs | Master the NEW ROI: Return on Interactions | TEDx Speaker | Mom
So, my parents celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary yesterday and I started thinking about the similarities between strong partnerships and strong teams. Have any of you ever thought about this? These were the 3 things that quickly came to my mind. Simple but foundational. 1. Trust: you have your partner’s back, you have your teammate’s back 2. Communication: you create space, a practice of checking in on your partner as well as your teammates 3. Specific Goals: supporting each other’s individual goals and joint goals are equally needed because despite popular belief you can’t achieve joint goals if you haven’t identified your individual goals, first. Beyond these three things, I would say is facing challenges head on, being all in together. No partnership or successful team becomes great without working through lots of ups and downs, fears and failures because that is real life working through the tough stuff. That is where really bonds are made, not during the good times but when you are in the trenches together. 👉 What else would you add? #teambuilding #leadership

Reflecting on the end of the first month of the year, and what was my 10 year anniversary since joining Jack Hammer. It really wasn't intentional, and never did I imagine working somewhere so long. Yet I am still here and (mostly) having so much fun! Some might say that I should have moved long ago, but I wanted to share the reasons why you stay! You stay in a workplace that keeps you inspired, challenged, and invested. You stay when you're still learning, evolving, and contributing meaningfully, where you work with incredible people, and get to meet incredible leaders daily and contribute in a small way to better companies for people to work at, better leaders and people growing. For me 10 years is just the beginning! Here's to a decade of collaboration, innovation, and many more exciting adventures ahead! 🥂 #leadershipdevelopment #executivesearch #research #learning
