Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust’s Post

In case you missed it, this month we celebrated our annual Nursing and Midwifery Week. There were plenty of events and activities for everyone to get involved in, including a poster competition, specially themed menus, awards, talks, a career development board game and information stalls. It was a great opportunity to share the fantastic work of our nursing and midwifery colleagues, celebrate their achievements and to say thank you for everything they do. Staff set up information stalls around our hospitals and community services to showcase their work and to provide career development and wellbeing advice. The Nightingale Academy held an event with excellent speakers and presented our new Nightingale nurses and midwives with their awards. The celebrations ended with an uplifting awards ceremony where teams and individuals were recognised for their outstanding work. Take a look at our photos from the week. Can you spot some familiar faces? 📸 If you would like to join our nursing or midwifery teams, visit the Guy's and St Thomas' jobs page: https://ow.ly/l6Kr50RYJmJ #TeamGSTT #Nursing #Midwifery #NursingJobs #MidwiferyJobs Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals

  • It's beautiful sunny day. Two nurses holding up a frame that says 'Nurses' week' and 'cardiovascular directorate'. They are both smiling. Behind them there is lots of information abou their department on a pin board.
  • Three members of staff in a community health centre. They are standing together behind a table packed with information sheets and leaflets.
  • Two members of staff holding up a set of brightly coloured cards. On the floor beneath them is a giant game that looks like snakes and ladders. In the background there are two nurses standing on the board talking, with a giant inflatable dice at their feet.
  • Three nurses next to a pull up banner that says nursing and midwifery week. There is large table in front of them with information and free gifts.
  • Two dental nurses in grey uniforms in from to of a dental team display. They are holding up a heart shaped frame and one of them is holding a giant yellow toothbrush.

Nurses are the lifeblood of the NHS! My Mum started as a Midwife then on to being a community nurse for over 40 years...Keep up the good work 😀 ✨

Great to see our fantastic Cardiovascular stand (with the even more fantastic Gloria and Jade) again! That day in particular was a real highlight with the sun shining down on the fountain. #TeamGSTT

Thanks for sharing and congratulations
