The United States should end military aid to Israel. 1. Military Aid to Israel is unnecessary. Bombing hospitals, killing innocent civilians, carpet bombing and killing children are not self-defense they are war crimes. Israel has no right to defend itself in a land it illegally occupies. 2.Military aid to Israel is a security risk to the United States. Israel has been selling American developed military technology to China for more than a decade. These sales have been instrumental in the modernization of China's military. 3.Military aid to Israel is a diplomatic liability, 4, Military aid to Israel is illegal under American law. Israel's human rights violations disqualifies Israel from receiving military aid under the Leahy law and Israel's refusal to allow inspections of its nuclear sites or sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty makes any aid to Israel illegal under the Symington Amendment. https://lnkd.in/dbsA5jhK

Sanborn Analytics Maritime Security Bulletin and Regional Intelligence Update Re: USS Mason Shots Down More Houthi Missiles and Drones in the Red Sea/Russia Launches Over 100 Missiles and Drones into Ukrainian Territory/ Israel Announces the Death of More Fallen Soldiers. Issued: December 29th, 2023 Security Alert: Increased Threats in the Southern Red Sea and Ukraine Conflict Escalation Sanborn Analytics issues this maritime security bulletin to inform the maritime shipping community and armed naval forces at sea about recent incidents affecting regional security. 1. Incident in the Southern Red Sea: On Thursday, December 28th, 2023, the US Navy's USS Mason successfully intercepted a drone and an anti-ship ballistic missile fired by the Iran-backed Houthi militia in the southern Red Sea, as announced by US Central Command (CENTCOM) early Friday morning. This marks the 22nd attempted attack by the Houthis against international shipping since October 19th. Fortunately, no damage was inflicted upon the 18 ships in the area during the incident. Sanborn Analytics Analysis: Maritime operators are advised to remain vigilant in the southern Red Sea region, given the persistent threat posed by Houthi militia activities. 2. Escalation of Conflict in The Black Sea: On December 28th-29th, 2023, Russia initiated one of its largest aerial barrages of the year against Ukraine, resulting in the tragic loss of 10 lives and injuries to at least 60 others. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that approximately 110 missiles and drones were launched by Russia, with the majority successfully intercepted. Sanborn Analytics Analysis: The escalation of the conflict in Ukraine raises concerns about potential impacts on maritime security in the Black Sea region. Ship operators are advised to monitor the situation closely and implement necessary precautions. This attack was thought to be more retaliation for Ukraine sinking (2) Russian ships earlier in the week. 3. Developments in the Gaza Strip On December 29th, 2023, Israel confirmed the death of another soldier in the Gaza Strip due to running gun battles with Hamas. Sanborn Analytics Analysis: While this incident may not directly impact maritime operations, it underscores the importance of monitoring regional developments and maintaining situational awareness due to the expansion and risk of military conflict throughout the region. That EU is a common market making live complicated is shown to us by the latest development in building a tank in Europe. Here we take as an example a new tank built by a consortium KNDS , consisting out of a German and French company. Italy places the order but wants to be part of the process. The solution is found in letting Italy’s Leonardo to have the barrel of the tank to be built. Let’s hope the tank will be assembled in time. Its evidence that in the smallest dna of the EU market it’s in fact a national organization where the three largest countries are constantly in a dogfight, the smaller countries get overloaded with EU guidelines which have jurisdiction over their national laws and national parlements. EU_parliament is a laughing matter where crooked politicians are getting paid with bribes and work for the highest bidder or are spies of Russia. https://lnkd.in/evh_cUQ5 #eu #leonardo #knds #eu_commission #eu_parliament

The anniversary of the world’s worst ever act of ecoterrorism and sabotage upon inter-country infrastructure occurred just one year ago when the USA allegedly blew up Nordstream. I say allegedly because the countries whom are investigating are dragging their heels, and refusing to involve Russia, yet the massive amount of evidence points squarely at the Biden administration and the CIA. Here we can see the evidence and discussions at this weeks UN Security Council. It is damning and concise evidence. If proven that the Biden administration was responsible, it is effectively an act of war against their ally Germany. The question remains: why is Germany and its people so disinterested in establishing the truth about whom destroyed their infrastructure and therefore their economy? Why is the European Union not calling out for answers, as the collapse of Germany affects the whole of Europe? https://lnkd.in/dxPVYKMD

Ukraine Recap: Drone Attacks Reported Over South Ukraine, Crimea Ukraine and Russia accused each other of massive drone strikes, including against Russian-occupied Crimea, hours after President Vladimir Putin vowed to strike at Ukraine in retaliation for blasts that forced it to suspend road and rail traffic across the flagship Kerch Strait bridge that links Russia to Crimea. Uncertainty over global food prices grew after Russia halted the Black Sea grain deal, closing a crucial export route for Ukraine, one of the world’s top suppliers of wheat and vegetable oils. The bigger risk lies longer term, as fractured and costly logistics could spur Ukrainian farmers to further cut harvests. #business #finance #financialservices

In an update to yesterdays post, we awake this Friday to news that there have been direct strikes against Houthi sites within Yemen by the UK and US military. US confirmed 16 sites have been targeted with Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree broadcasting via TV that 5 members were killed with a further 6 injured from a total of 76 strikes and they are taking the strikes as an act of aggression which will result in a heavy price for the US and UK. Reuters is quoting 2 carriers responses to the strikes, Hapag Lloyd says they "welcome measures that make the passage through the Red Sea safe again", with Maersk saying it hopes increased security will lead to maritime commerce to transit through the Red Sea again. The UK BBC is reporting that Oil prices increased by a 2% average overnight, with Brent Crude increasing by almost 2.5%, on fears of the wider area being drawn into the conflict. With 1/3 of the worlds oil produced in the area it would cause a serious supply issue if the conflict escalated. It can easily be concluded that this is not a short term crisis and transits around the Cape for ULCV are likely to be in place for the next few weeks and possible months, customers will need to adjust their supply chains accordingly to factor in the extra 10 to 14 day transit times. https://lnkd.in/ejpUGpSr
